Astonishingly good technology Is also astonishingly expensive and slow to install - more than 2 yrs for Andover so far

wild wild swings almost impossible to value this business .a deal has to happen at some time (i keep telling myself ) but if it doesn't then i can only think the astonishly good technology here is worth less than we had hoped . i tend to believe what people tell me ,obviously a fault in me .

Continuing Decline You have to hand it to Ocado management for leading the "biggest fallers" over the last month....a 25% decline in price and I suspect more to come. With their backgrounds in the city you would have thought they would know better! You cannot make promises you cannot fulfil and the longer there is silence the greater the degree of suspicion that their claims of "multiple deals in multiple countries" is a claim built on sand. Nearer to home we have heard nothing on the progress of the newer Distribution Centres and Andover, a supposed showpiece, must be running well behind schedule. I guess the old adage of "no news is good news" doesn't apply and again recent declarations or lack of reflect badly on a team who now appear to have delusions of grandeur sprinkled with incompetence!

Re: A.G.M I guess we don't need to have attended this meeting....whatever was supposed to have happened either with one or more organisations is not materialising and large Financial Institutions are reducing their holdings. management have certainly been "economic with the truth " and cannot be believed in the future.

Re: CFC Andover Thanks for that, I see it's Erith. So I wonder why you think the project is not progressing. If these photos are all of the Ocado plot then the Tritax shed appears to be up already, and it is the surrounding areas which the site contractor is finishing off. Any thoughts?

Re: CFC Andover The interesting question is whether the announcement of CFC Andover will push the price up or down.Somebody over on lse.co.uk pointed out that it will move expenditure from capex to operational.I wonder how much it will cost to ramp up a remote CFC. This is clearly a very long term investment relying heavily upon improvement to the A303 which will not arrive until 2021 earliest. As for CFC Erith it looks to be way behind schedule but maybe these boxes go up really quickly.[link] they are getting what they need late and getting what they don't yet need early.

Re: CFC Andover Will probably make a formal announcement on or before AGM in a weeks time. This they hope will deflect from the lack of an update on "multiple deals in multiple countries" which seems further away than ever. They stated that it was not their intention to achieve this in the first few months of the year and that it was "not a race" but beginning to feel like a marathon!!

Key Date Three weeks to AGM by which time we should have heard something. If no news by that time the market will be ready to seek their "pound of flesh" as a result of misleading information and their inability to deliver on what has been promised/inferred. Yes we know this isn't a race but there have been a number of false starts which may lead to a steward's enquiry!

moment of truth is ocdo about to do an american deal......people in the know seem to think so .......ocdo has employed mace ,logistics experts ,which adds a bit of credence to the story .is ocdo's market leading technology about to have a price put upon it?

Re: Trading update How's your "short position "stacking up Boris!?You are however in good company as 17.5% of shares are held by short sellers which is part of the reason why this is such a "trading stock" Be aware however that this is no longer a retailer but a technology stock and "multiple deals in multiple countries" is the future vision. We also have the new depot opening in the next few weeks and I would imagine before the AGM in early May.
