Re: Bid rumour @ 23p Yes and normally in this situation they would have issued an RNS to quell rumours if there hadn`t been an approach.Its now coming up to 12:30 and they`ve said nothing!!That suggests that there is something in it.My guess is that there has been an approach but the BOD think that the company is worth more, along with plenty of other people including myself.So we wait for an update, they will have seen the massive volume over yesterday and today so will probably be meeting to decide how to respond.Interesting times for this company.

Bid rumour @ 23p [link] Wednesday 04 March 2015Obtala Resources jumped 2.12p to 10.75p on AIM, amid rumours that private equity has been sniffing around. Word in the City is that the Africa-focused company, which does everything from forestry to flogging iPhones in Lesotho, has received an approach at 23p a share. Forestry fund Moringa is the name in the frame.

News due on several fronts.. ...as per the last update RNS on 16th Dec `141. Partner to be announced re timber..To date five companies have signed Non-Disclosure Agreements with two letters of intent received from interested parties.A site visit is planned for early 2015 with the interested parties with an agreement to be concluded thereafter.2.Morogoro - Food health and safety certificate..Extensive work is being completed on the processing facility to ensure that it is complaint for food health and safety certification which is underway. It is anticipated that certification will be awarded in Q1-2015.Global GAP certification for the farm operations is expected to be complete in Q1 2015.3.Lesotho cannery..A number of significant upgrades are being completed on the facility in Maseru, funded by our partner the Lesotho National Development Corporation. Work is expected to be completed imminently and BRC certification completed in Q1 2015.Plenty of positive announcements to look forward to imminently and looking primed on the sp chart for a good move up from here. Great price to invest or add at these low levels and some will be very thankful that African Minerals has been forced to sell, keeping the price down!Good luck to all Obtalians!

Re: Another RNS OBT have received quite a lot of cash for their Paragon shares and are rapidly expanding their Africa based businesses. However, profits are being re-invested and are yet to show in the OBT accounts with any significance.Once OBT looks to have long term businesses with growing profitability then the OBT share price will start to grow again. Africa does need such businesses as there is a growing population which needs the work, and increasing numbers of African with enough money to buy more than just the basics to survive.I therefore hope that OBT will prove to be a very successful business for many reasons apart from giving its shareholders a reasonable return on their investments.

Another RNS [link] of many, a consistant flow of `growth` news here and its really just the start. Plenty of positive announcements to come in Q1 and beyond. Any new buyers at this low level should see plenty of upside short/med and longterm.If you`re new to this share then do some research and read the overall picture of this great growth company.[link] growing anyway and to have such diversified exposure ie timber, many fruits and agriculture, shops and cannery(s) aswell as home brand ketchup. Story looks good from here.

SPREADBET on Paragon holding Interesting that Obtala have a SPREADBET over 19.48% of Paragon voting shares (53.675m shares in total), which I assume covers the risk that they might not receive the last tranche of monies due for their Paragon shares.Not really sure how this works... any views welcomed.

Share price improvement Cash from their sale of a lot of shares in Paragon at 3.5p each is now being received, and will help them to expand their own businesses.
