results today In summary, great result, far tougher outlook.Net Revenues £483m v £502m (gross revenues look better) - OK, not stunningCombined ratio 91% v 90.3% in an exceptionally benign catastrophe year - OK, might have been betterInvestment return 1.2% v 0.9% - OK, lowishEPS 79p v 50p - very goodDPS 24.8p plus 20p special - very goodNTA £5.22 v £4.91 - goodThe thing to watch is the future. There have been thumping falls in rates; 5% to 10%. It won't always be a benign catastrophe year. And it is entirely possible that negative investment returns could come. So the outlook is darkening. This makes calculations of value harder......
