Re: Strong share price Pearlsasinger, See today's RNS:[link]
Strong share price Any ideas out there as to why the sp here is so strong?I would have expected the opposite direction-after the recent nervousness in equity markets.
Re: Numis faces Shareholder Troubles Forgive me for suggesting to all small shareholders hereto visit the Numis investor relations website. And in particular the AIM Rule 26 disclosures contained therein; It will not be our holdings that dictate future Numisbehaviour...too many large holdings here.I will not be surprised to see some sort of corporate actionhere. But I must emphasise this is only a hunch.(holder)
Numis faces Shareholder Troubles Numis will face a backlash from Shareholders following the repurchasing of shares for the benefit if its Employee Benefit Trusts. Another 1.8% of the company were transferred into the Trust, with another 9.28% still in Treasury presumably awaiting transfer. At the same time Numis maintained its dividend having spent massive amounts on these share repurchases. All shareholders need to attend future AGMs and join forces to hold management to account.
Re: Management greed. Looks as though Management going to have a tough time justifying itself to Shareholders at future AGMs. They need to start returning value to shareholders. Of course they will get the shareprice up ahead of their share bonus which are dependent upon a certain price point.
Sold out I've sold out today, I hate investing in companies where the management are greedy, and this is certainly the case here. My theory is that if they clean you out in the good times, just wait for the bad.......
22.9 million for management 22.9 million on share repurchases and not one share cancelled. I shall be attending the annual meeting for sure and would urge other shareholders to attend as well. This has to be sorted in favour of shareholders.
Management greed. Its become very clear that Numis looks after its management and some of its staff and not the shareholders. The buybacks have all been to fulfill management share rewards. Quite a disgrace.Shareholders need to attend annual meeting and protest.
Re: Results out Totally agreeShare buy backs are substantial.......they really know how to reward success!IMO the balance needs to be tipped more to the shareholders. Holding the dividend is a bit Scrooge like. At least they actually state an intention to involve the shareholders. Over the medium term, we intend not only to repurchase shares to offset the dilutive impact of unvested share awards, but to reduce the overall number of shares in issue as we focus on overall shareholder returns.Deliberately vague?
Results out Results out today, they look pretty good to me and a bit better than expectations. The dividend is held at 12p, which I find very irritating. The money is being spent on buy backs, which mostly help the management. The dividend should have ben raised, in my opinion. But for £327m you get a company with £130m of tangible assets, almost all liquid, and a PBT of £38.3m.The institutional shareholders are a slightly odd lot; all specialist investment firms seeking real value.
Re: What happened the 5.6 m shares sold? One month later----I call on Walter De La MareIs there anybody there? said the Traveller, Knocking on the moonlit door; And his horse in the silence champed the grasses Of the forests ferny floor: And a bird flew up out of the turret Above the Travellers head: And he smote upon the door again a second time Is there anybody there? he said.
