2017 Well, in the last year the company managed to lose 49% of its value. 2017 is the year it will finally fold. It's all very well saying they're found good grade material, but in all honesty, it could be gold from the surface down to the core of the Earth and without a mining licence, it's valueless. The plan of 'wait and wait and wait' doesn't work. So, unless there's a concrete plan regarding the licence during January my guess is the company will go under by 2017's end.
Re: Dead ducks don't quack yes sadly i wrote this one off months ago. I still have a reasonable holding in the massively diluted share capital and will hold just in case they do get a license & can exit on a spike. If it hadn't been for me making a large profit on BKY over the last 2 years to compensate the losses here I'd be more disappointed. Much of the misfortune that beset this company is political and market related which killed the good prospects they had a few years ago. Now with no money, no license and no investment there is only one outcome likely
Dead ducks don't quack This to me is a dead duck. Have written off this one. I won't be investing anymore into NRRP unless or until the minino licence is granted. Can we have a show of hands if you agree?
Yawn I have some sympathy for the NRRP management which is facing the apparent licence impasse together the obvious - but perhaps unintended - consequences of the Namibian government's NEEEF policy which will repel new foreign investment which will either seek higher investment returns or, more likely, invest elsewhere. However, NRRP's RNS on 14 March 2015 stated "North River is committed to maintaining a regular and constructive dialogue with its shareholders and accordingly it will hold shareholder conference calls on a quarterly basis."The last conference call was held over 4 months ago on 8 July 2016 and shareholders continue to be left in the dark about what, if anything, is happening. This reflects badly on NRRP's management.
Re: Anybody out there My sentiments exactly. Want to make your money back on this share. Short it to fall back below a penny by Dec 2017.
Anybody out there Having killed off Private Investors....what next?. All that promise...imminent mining licence award vaporized???
Been a while Hello to all NRRP holders, you had a bit of a run earlier in the year, but having been shareholders for years it was time to move on for us. We all have to choose & we are all here to try and make a return on our savings. So, although it's really frustrating sometimes when an ex holder says "Try this" " Rocketing up"etc, here goes !FinnAust Mining [link] by Western Areas an Aussie mining company. It's taken Mrs FLU & I a lot of discussions to post about another company here, but we have done with that, This project FAM have, although the ilmenite has been known about for years, climate change has uncovered the orebody it is in the top percentile of any mineral sands worldwide. It's a project that is very high grade Titanium feedstock, a primary source that the Glacier kindlydelivers each season another load. Over 80kms of Beach and shallow water ore, ready crushed & its proposed to dredge the sands out in the season of 24 hour daylight. Around 7 months a year, After set up - and take down that's 5 months of ship borne activity, no mine, just ore.Do look at the website, do some research but we think that it's worthwhile The best of luck for NRRP & Namib, we'll wander off now!FLU.
Interesting RNS Cognisant of the way forward, waiting for mining licence.Sounds like paving the way forward for another round of fund raising to me. If so, I certainly won't be investing.
Re: appointments I am confident too that the merry go round will continue until they get more investors cash before announcing the closure of the business. I have now written this off. I will hold in case I am wrong and the licence appears and this rockets northwards but think this may only happen in my dreams. Expect another consolidation in 2017.
appointments It appears to me that the appointments announced area positive step forward as without local representatives on board we are going around in circles. The engagement of Asser Kapere is high profile being chairman of the council of Namibia since 2004 and member of the government. I am confident now about the license especially with the resources in the ground
the zinc crunch I noticed this upbeat article today and thought it might be of interest[link] to see the sp has been hammered here, the licence issue was always going to make or break the project
Licence News? Maybe something is emerging?

Re: offer BMW M3. At the time of my first investment in NRRP I had just had a very successful investment with Kalahari minerals ( KAH) having followed then up from the 30p. I made a good profit when they were bought by the Chinese and instead of squandering the cash on a new car I decided to be sensible! and to reinvest in NRRP ( they looked really promising in those days having taken over all KAH's non Uranium assets). Unfortunately the story has been down hill since then. Now unfortunately there are much better bets out there than NRRP which is why they will struggle to get new investment partners when the real money is needed to finance the extraction plant ( if they ever get a license). I'd love them to come good if only to convince myself that "going big" on them was the right thing to do. In reality though Ive written off the money.Berkeley Energia are my new "big" investment having followed them from the 100p+ days down to 15p - but i have an average of 27p which is helping to offset the loss from NRRP.You win some and lose some
