Re: News at last you must have got in about the same time as I,BACK TO THE BOTTOM DRAW, WITH MANY MORE,it could be worse , the fact that we are still here is more than can be said for, well a long list.
Re: Conditions to Preparedness for Mining Li... As always with mining cos, getting a production licence takes forever. But positive news here. And its a mkt cap of £1.8m
News at last This is the news long standing shareholders having been waiting for .Reading the announcement the further conditions look like formalities and rubber stamping.Considering the resources in the ground already proven and the large director buying at 0.20 the market capitalisation of less than one and a half million seems crazy. To think my first purchase was at four pence or forty times the current price new investors are getting in at rock bottom levels.
Conditions to Preparedness for Mining Licence I wonder what the conditions are and if they were expected. No doubt we will find out in due course. I am happy we are up 46% today but I am still way down on my investment. When I hear their are conditions it doesn't get my hopes up. I hope the Namibian Government does not try to take our pants down and bend us over the negotiating table.Assuming all goes well, I hope this share will rise about 2 pence, in which case I will be able to break even at last.
Good News re: Licence North River Resources plc, the AIM quoted resource company, advises it has received from the Ministry of Mines and Energy ("Ministry" in Namibia a Notice of Preparedness to Grant the mining licence ("Notice" for the Namib Lead-Zinc Project ("Namib" or the "Project". The Notice is dated 28 January 2016.
no news I listened to the interview on directors talk with the new executive officer Rod Beddows and he seemed a nice enough chap but did let it slip there is no date on when the all important license will be granted but should be at some time this year. However i note that he has no equity in the company and with the share price so low this is disappointing. It seemed the market makers created a bit of excitement with the shares this week on no news and the price is drifting back to the lows again
Re: 76% Rise and No-one Commenting? Even I had to go back to work 9 to 5 since September !!
Re: 76% Rise and No-one Commenting? Agreed Bullspread. There is obviously an interest in getting this up to at least Nominal value- and the placing price. It is very poor that it was allowed to get so low in the first place.Listening to the new Chairman - what is he bringing to the company? - a Harvard educated PHDis impressive, but doesn't the company need a dynamic personality - who is going to be outon the London circuit looking for new opportunities ?We await his overall plan to inject some dynamism into this Companies torpor.Getting the company into a position where we can see shareholders having some sort ofclue as to when they can expect a return on their investment. It's not encouraging to see " north river is focussed on its flagship asset Namib & has interests in Mozambique " Getting a bit old hat, I doubt that any of the current board have visited our Mozambique assets- but happy to be proven wrong.FLU.
Re: 76% Rise and No-one Commenting? Strong selling into the buy too. Possibly the new boy on the board? Our holding went from a meal at McDonald's to a Harvester ! - except it was originally a night at the Savoy.relatively speaking.Good luck to all that remain, hope that people get their cash back at least.FLU.
Re: 76% Rise and No-one Commenting? Ditto! But at least it's doing something.
Re: 76% Rise and No-one Commenting? Everyone is broke and has had to get a 9-5 job thanks to shares in this sector taking a massive beating.90% rise does nothing of note in reducing the holding loss I have here.
76% Rise and No-one Commenting? On big volumes too.Someone know something?
Re: Dear James, do we get a happy new year? Well said Lexi. Absolutely correct.
Dear James, do we get a happy new year? Dear James,The last private investors are getting out of this stock.Might that be the result of a failing Board? Or is it just in line with the larger plan in which you take part?At accepting this job you have promised to protect the interests of all shareholders. So far your promise could not have been farther from the truth. All you have done it seemed is sell out our company. In 2018, the expected time of revival of the zinc price, one shareholder will have over 52% of the stock of the company that we private shareholders have supported over the years. If we even will make 2018 and not drown earlier because of the burden of the high yielding bonds you have signed for.The newly appointed Chairman has not in any way communicated with the private investors. Not even one word after him having accepted the job. That is a disgrace. You as Director find that acceptable? Maybe the events of the last 12 months were not fully illegal. But it does seem highly immoral. So these dark days between Christmas and New Year I wish you can take a moment for yourself and rethink the the results of your doings of the last 12 months. The impact of the tanking share price of NRR on us small investors has been brutal. I wish you all the best in digesting this. I would not gladly trade places with you and get myself crushed on this burden of guilt. Still I prefer that you to prove me wrong and that you get our company on track. Shall we say a sp of 1 pence by the end of June 2016?Happy New Year.
I'm out. Should have got out ages ago like YT. Live and learn.
