Final Results Slow rate of change. That's what concerns me the most. However, the new CEO has thankfully catalysed this. Personally I flick over to channel 5 and ITV time-to-time and notice Netplay on, yet the only thing that has changed over the past 3-4 years is the presenters! Pretty mild results. The surge in KPIs has no reflection on profit or revenue what so ever, increase of 20% on active depositing players yet, a £1m down? Pretty defensive decision to increase dividend, however I think maybe the city would of preferred a dividend freeze - but welcome as an a investor in Netplay tv nevertheless.
Channel 5 Extension Brilliant. Netplay share price would sink faster than the Titanic if it were to lose presence on either of the TV Channels. Revenues until 2018 is very promising, especially news for some much needed new formats, which I think are extremely overdue.
Re: Trading Update I made the mistake on hindsight of averaging down over the last two years.Still going to stick with them as I am sure they will eventually come good.
Re: Hmmmmn! Possibility of a special dividend? Since on when on earth.. ?!
Hmmmmn! Nice buy in price, cash rich, a prgressive dividend and the possibility of a special didvi, what's not to like?
Re: Trading Update We indeed are dandigirl! But I obviously have a more pessimistic view on them! I am holding onto these regardless
Re: Trading Update Hello Oxtrader: Are we reading the same update? I see words such as increase, in-line, cost reduced, cash flow positive, etc. I especially like "The Directors believe this coupled with its strong balance sheet, will put NetPlay in a good position to take advantage of potential consolidation opportunities".Don't see 6p but we shall see.
Trading Update Well, took a few more days than I had anticipated for it to be released! Anyways..Mixed Update. "Stable" new CEO in place, good for share price stability. Increase in active players. The missing out on any key financial figures is a blow. This usually means they haven't got much to rave about, in other words, flat or declining. I noticed they haven't chosen to sponsor Channel 5's flagship show this year, just as well because they got a terrible deal last year with record low viewing figures for BB during the World Cup. Which indicates they got depressingly low ROI on their marketing spend last year.Revenues to be flat against last year is a shame, but with the new tax in place, we can already derive that the EPS will be at least down. They really haven't innovated very much over the past year, the apps are still very much broken too. This will probably fall to 6p by April, reflective with the lower earnings. Anymore director buys will only help the price short term. But there's lots of potential in Netplay, just hope the CEO will see that.
January Update Based on previous years, the next update for Netplay TV should be due this Wednesday/Thursday. But having said that.. I can't seem to get onto their corporate website.. hmm
