Re: Strategy PS I feel the current SP is at a level the likes of which will never be seen again. The half year figures should be good enough and the forecast for the year bullish enough for the MMs to lift the SP back to the 25p level - where they where a few weeks ago or 34p this time last year. Things will have simply got much better.
Re: Strategy Lest we forget B, JM is an investor who buys into a situation with a view to making money but of course it does not always work. City Link was an example and in the NBB sector we have Work Group where he has an investment but the shares are suspended following losses and an ongoing statigick review. But I sincerely believe that NBB will come very good over the next twelve months and of course we have PC as a major shareholder who no doubt is prodding with a big stick because he too will not wish to be seen to fail. My friend in the North should also take note. GL
Re: Strategy These sort of numbers Bowood make sense and a lot will depend on whether the previously announced imrovement in Trading is indeed maintained or even enhanced in the ensuing period. If this is the case we may get a bit more info on projected Trading as these kind of guys (JM et al) are usually keen to tell how they have turned things around by their decisive actions etc.For a change I wouldn't be averse to JM blowing his own (team's) trumpet later this month!B
Re: Strategy In November last top investors including JM invested a further £500k to restructure. In the Annual Report in May the Chairman told us that revenues and profit had exceeded expectations for the first quarter. If this has continued into the second quarter and into the secon half and being in a sector that is doing well, there could be a positive relating when the figures are released in the next few days. The mc at 20p is less than £3.5m so a good first half could push the SP nearer 30/35p level IMO
Strategy Had another look at this one BOWOOD and it seems yet another opaque Co. Despite this I have now bought in fairly modestly.I guess the obvious question of whether their Restructure 'Light' has been sufficient to restore profitability on an ongoing basis should be answered shortly but to me the only game in town is understanding what JM's strategy is and is forecast timescale for achieving it.Simplistically we know JM will want to optimise his returns by restoring profitability and growth and exiting through trade sale (or less likely these days, to Management), but have we any handle on their Performance hurdles and where they might be in their Recovery Plan?B
Trades More shares traded in th last couple of days than the last two years in a stock that lacks liquidity! What's going on?
Directors Now is the time for the CFO and Executive Chairman to wade in and buy.
Re: Buy? The important thing here is that there is a new man on the bridge who has a good cv and will want to make NBB work as it should in the current climate. The CEO is through the exit: perhaps underperforming so perhaps its a new beginning. NBB could be very cheap with only a £3.5m mc
Buy? Nice to see the uptick here and quite obviously any even half decent buy amount lifts NBB.....so very little stock on offer.m
Directors Never sure what Lakefield did and Jan Cameron was pushed out of being Operations Director last year so not too surprised she has gone as a director and will now leave NBB. Shame. Business appears to being run by bean counters rather than people with a passion for search and recruitment.
Moulton Let's hope it's Moultons own money invested in NBB and he does not need it back.
Staff Leaving Senior member of staff gone.
