So Feeks what is the price of Dow's cadmium free Qdots per kilo compared to the competition....?

Kuss 16 Aug 2015

Interesting that Samsung are slashing the prices of their Qdot TV's, up to half price in the US. Maybe in anticipation of LG launch in Sept. Either way, the QD TV will soon be mainstream [link]

The change in institutional holdings can be explained by the change in the status of Nano's listing. It all happened around the same time. Nothing much in the way of sales since then.

Kuss 12 Aug 2015

Maybe the samples were for production purposes. It's a fine dividing line, look at QTM on that. We all have to accept some slippage on production. If you've ever been involved with project management you'll understand the complexities. But commissioning of the plant is on-going and samples from that factory will either be bought or not...

Market thinks forward. Bit question is rate of growth. I recall Yell being valued on the basis of free cash flow and profits. No good though if the company doesn't have a future..

Kuss 10 Aug 2015

Well let's see indeed. And let's see if QTMs claims to be able to supply the whole industry for next to nothing have any validity

Re: NANO Stream Log I've been following qd development for 8yrs .. Nanoco has claimed forever they were they " only " manufacturers of CFQD.It now seems they changed their tune only recently on their Web site and now changed it to "claim" ...."Nanoco leads the world in the research, development and large-scale manufacture of heavy-metal free quantum dots and semiconductor nanoparticles for use in displays, lighting, solar energy and bio-imaging"...As you stated claims are only good unless you provide the proof..let's see what their next audited filing shows for revenues fromthis mass production and sales your talking about.

I've been following QD development for more than 3 years. There are many companies who can produce cadmium free quantum dots. Nano have never claimed they are the only company capable of producing cadmium free. Nanosys can do it, Storedot can do it, QTM can do it, Hansol chemical can do it ... I can list more if you're interested. The difference has always been a question of how good they are and how scalable the process is. Nanoco at runcorn are presently producing from 100kilo reactors. Dow have build 1000 kilo reactors. It's called a kilo lab and is based on Nanoco's kilo lab design. Molecular seeding allows you do do that. My question is how big can these reactors get. Could they do a 5 tonne reactor? I have a diversified portfolio but for Quantum dots I have only invested in Nanoco and the reason is Dow and their $200 million capex investment and huge contract from LG. Plus the industry which is growing exponentially. Plus Dow have built their factory and are going into production in a matter of weeks.

Re: NANO Stream Log Seeding process will always be the limitation issue going forward...unless you think bigger is better. ..think Capex ....as far as the CFQD statement ...wasn't it Nano that has stated they are they only CFQD makers ??? And now you openly admit there are others ...speaking of leaky statements...only helping you understand there is more than one public company to bet on ...if your all in on Nano I wish you well...

Samsung get their quantum dots from Hansol chemical via patents obtained from Nanosys. They are the only cadmium free producer with a product until LG bring out their Dow produced QD TV's in September. If you can point me to a client of QTM or any product containing their QD's I might take some notice. Till then it's all nonsense. I note with some concern QTM never been asked to speak at any of the major QD conferences. Nano's 50k production has always been small scale till Dow comes on line to supply LG on the contract they signed with them. This thread is a Nanoco thread, you should take your QTM bias and start your own thread. Yes, there are many Ponies, but just a few horses imo...

Re: NANO Stream Log Your due diligence is very poor. There us much more than one Web page for their site which I linked earlier and you chose to ignore. As far as Evident ..they are not doing anything in the area of mass production of QD ...read their latest PR.Samsung is not a producer of QD and as they stated they are looking for sources for qd.They stated Nanocos product wasn't up to par and passed on it..that should be a red flag! .If you think 50Kg makes you a world leader in a market you say needs tonnage then there is another red flag.As far as contracts ...show me the revenues Nano has made from selling product for the Dow deal ...and don't use milestone payments as revenue when doing so.I believe LG is also looking for multiple suppliers much like Samsung so don't think Nano doesnt have competition in the area of CFQDs.Reality is the market is reacting yo dekat and delay from Nano ....you can only string investors along for so long ...

Re: NANO Stream Log Again denial... Actually QMC does. ..they own all the IP for their flow process for mass production N2C as well as the Bayer patents set which is very diverse and contains CFQD details.See link...There is more than one pony in this race [link] [link]

Kuss 10 Aug 2015

Looking at QTM's webpage on innovations ... Surely they are just promoting cadmium QD's .[link]

Kuss 10 Aug 2015

No good having production capacity if you don't have a buyer. Why has the development agreement come months after announcing production of 2000kg. More by the way than the rest of the industry. Don't even own their own IP. It's important to know what the competition is doing I agree. QD vision, Nanosys, Samsung and to some degree StoreDot, Evident etc.. They have credibility. QTM hasn't which is why it's market cap is where it is...

Re: NANO Stream Log Why deny when the facts are out there. It's important in any investment to know what your competition is doing..SAN MARCOS, Texas -- February 5, 2015—Rapidly growing North American quantum dot manufacturer Quantum Materials Corp (OTCQB:QTMM) today announced it has begun shipping Cadmium-free red and green quantum dots in evaluation and production quantities to select leading consumer electronics manufacturers. The company has increased the uniformity and enhanced stability of its Cadmium-free nanomaterials as a result of bringing previouslyreported automated capital equipment, facility and personnel investments online. Quantum Materials is at the forefront of Cadmium-free quantum dot development and recently announced increasing production capacity to 2000Kg of quantum dots and nanoparticles per annum in Q2 2015.
