Re: Putin rumour? Heared the same. Could be true...
Putin rumour? Putin emerged today in St Petersburg after 10 days absence from public view.Rumour has it that he is, personally, a major shareholder in MAX and that concerned about recent developments he has been locked in discussions with Sberbank, urging them to write off the debt and persuading the Kazak Government to fund the next NUR drill. Hope it could be true.IMHO,
Re: RNS Suspension Been hanging in here for many years and down a lot too, grenadaman all the best to both of us and any other long term holders it looks like we went down with the ship.

I just created a Max Petroleum poll: Will MXP go into administration? What do you think? [link]
Re: RNS Suspension Looks like "Last Chance Saloon" for my £77K investment, based on NUR1 expectations. I don't hold out too much hope though. Oh well, you win some you lose some.GM
Re: RNS Suspension might be a good idea to see what they come out with and PILE at a low low low price !!! :/
RNS Suspension Shares currently suspended pending outcome of discussion re financial arrangements with Sberbank.
Re: RNS in the current geopolitical mess I can't see the Russian Sberbank looking too kindly on debt restructuring for a small British company and its city investment fund shareholders. Congrats Mr Fallon for poking a stick at the Bear and being a total pr@t.
Re: RNS What a dangerous game this is, much as I was tempted today, voices from above said leave well alone. A genuine good luck if you are invested, just too much for me despite being a big risk taker. i may regret within days (or may be very thankful)
Re: RNS 46% of not a lotis well not a lotgood volume
RNS The Board notes the recent price movement in the Company's ordinary shares and confirms that there are currently no updates to the Company's announcement of 9 February 2015. Max Petroleum continues negotiations with Sberbank regarding an appropriate debt restructuring and with AGR Energy regarding an equity investment that, together with the debt restructuring, would render the Company viable at current oil prices. The Directors of Max Petroleum currently believe that there is a reasonable prospect that ongoing discussions could result in a sufficient refinancing of the Company and, on that basis, have not put the Company into administration. However, in light of upcoming creditor payments, including a material amount that becomes due on 25 February 2015 to the Kazakh tax authorities and payable by early March 2015, there is only a short period remaining to achieve such a refinancing and if current efforts are unsuccessful then the consequences will be negative for all stakeholders in the Company. A further announcement will be made in due course.
