Re: how do I crystallise a loss for tax? tell your accountant what you bought them at and what you they were when the company ceased trading, plus any confirmatory paperwork and he will let revenue know and alter any tax liability accordingly !

NB. To all posters who still have their shares. They still have some sort of value, In that you still own your part of the company. The day may come when someone, somewhere may wish to purchase them.More realistically, leave them to your children, or their children.

Drainboy. Just to say thank you for all the hard graft you put in, back in the day, before we realised we were being peddled a crock of bull----.I wonder where MY is licking his wounds, or more likely, counting the pennys,They had $46 million to drill two deep wells. Only one was not completed. Where!s the cash?Anyway. Thanks once again. Hope all goes well for you and yours in the future.

Re: 95p Drainboy? Seems like hardly any time ago I was invested here, but I sold out nearly two years ago. Still can't believe how much oil the BoD said they'd found and how little it turned out to be. An expensive lesson in small cap investing. Genuinely thought I was onto a good thing.Sorry for your loss(es).

Re: 95p Drainboy? ahh apologies i forgot you sold out earlier and also apologised to anyone buying on your recommendations. I didnt buy on your tip but i might have holded on too long lol. I just thought you would be posting one more time now that MXP is dead but clearly you were wise enough to get out with a few pennies intact.

Re: 95p Drainboy? 95p? I wouldn't sell for less than two quid.Except when I did, ages ago, for maybe 4p a share and publicly stated so here. What was your point exactly?

Marshsi 10 Oct 2015
