Lower gold production during the half year contributed to a 9.2% increase in cash costs to $969/oz and a 5.7% increase in the all-in sustaining costs to $1,161/oz
Revenue declined by 11.6% due to a 6.8% drop in ounces sold, a 5.1% fall in the average gold price per ounce (H1 FY2015: $1,283/oz vs H1 FY2014: $1,352/oz)
Re: whats next no its just a reality check, nickle prices should be higher next year and I put my money on gold instead of the fiat currencies ...
Re: whats next .....and Specsavers will run out of rose tinted glasses!!
1.7p soon
Re: whats next Directors buying will be the next news. The bond will be late January. There is the quarterly update in January. Drilling results for the copper will start to come in February. All about the costs in Q3. It's the first quarter with hope of squeezing the costs but Q4 will show the extent they can step up with modern reliable plant. Kalaa said he will be pushing the plant to achieve the best performance. He says he can produce gold all in at 900 oz and increasing to 100k ozs.
whats next news on the 20m bonds for BNC, news on the new credit 10m for Freda, drilling results on DRC , outcome court hearings , exceptionals??
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left The court case is just about recognition. There needs to be a free vote to put the nonsense to bed. It will be interesting to see the scale of the Director buying over the next week or two. I thought it was mildly humorous when Kalaa suggested shareholders would be unhappy to see share buybacks. Saying the share price is grossly undervalued it would be good to follow that up with some timely acquisitions. However the financial resilience needs to be strengthened before they spend too much more.
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left 20% in one day is certainly quite a dip.Particularly if one realises it can be done with less than 1% (0,9% !) share turnover.Based on fundamentals I would therefore rather see it as an eminent trading opportunity. But the court case seems so unnecessary, a clash of egos and nothing more.Waste of time and money, only beneficiaries as usual: the lawyers !
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left excellent round up, producing entities are pretty straighforward with EBITDA at 20% of revenues ( BNC + FR ) , people forget that smelter upgrade will increase EBITDA numbers up to 30% of overall revenues
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left A frustrating day with the market missing all the detail again. The webcast was informative and largely positive. The EBITDA is looking very positive and slightly above expectation. It will be interesting to see how it all looks after audit with a complex tax situation.MWA are very exposed to commodity prices and they are the only major risk with the company showing they can respond to setback and challenge. The market reaction sell on news is hardly surprising and many would have sold today anyway; although they expected to sell after a rise with a tidy profit but this game is just not that easy. Fingers get burned and Christmas money gets lost.MWA is a strong buy for me sub 2p and I suspect the SP will bounce back in quick time. In the meantime I wonder how low the AIM will allow buyers in at.The company progress is best described as steady rather than dynamic or energetic. MWA are still finely balanced and we need strong commodity values to take MWA towards double figures in the mid term. It will not take much to tip the balance to very positive ground.
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left I understand the moan , don't get me wrong, I totally understand and appreciate it.But as I type we trade at a market cap of around $40m vs, our share in BNc worth $45, producing gold mine Freda for free, all gold resources for free all exploration for free and I van go one ....So let them play the bullying tactics, it will favour the patient, I will buy at intervals of 20c . I actually never thought we'd see these prices again . But hey I take it as an opportunity. imo
Re: 2,5p with 45 minutes trading left Now down 20% Wednesday... no one likes talk on possible court cases... and not enough good news to counter this yet; with general UK stocks sentiment awful.
