Re: Added good use of share buy-backs lately. Nice to see a company using their cash wisely. Every buy-back boosts EPS and if kept up will narrow the discount.
Re: Added good to see some more comment. Having sold breedon stake this is now just ETO and 30% discount may remain but looks a bit churlish if they start to realise some of this stake over the next few months. I think this can happen in this timeframe as the next project for them is Haversham which they have 30% stake in - if this does a deal to purchase assets of between £250mill and £1 bill then there will be a decent sized invetsment needed by MVI. I still like ETO and think this can do well in next 6 months - maybe the 30% discount does remain and there is no conviction in their investment choices - their track record on this is decent and I like their approach. Beats the normal numpty trust that buys 50 different holdings and then wonder why they are getting market returns - they are conviction investors and the record is good. I am going to hold and look forward to seeing what haversham does next.
Re: Added HI Jezza... even if discount stays at this level (which it won't)I have held MVI for nearly two years now and sadly the percentage discount to NAV has always been in the low 30s. For an anomaly to remain for this length of time suggests we shouldn't hold our breath for it to narrow. The consolation, as you suggest, is that MVI do indeed seem to make sensible investment decisions. GLTAJ
