Re: why the drop? but they DID, big timeSAGE
Too much discount 34.1% nav discount is highest for several years. It's. Probably more now with Zeg's recent spurt
Re: why the drop? It feels as if I've paid too much for an antique and I'm consoling myself by thinking it will only get better as the years roll on...forgetting I'm only getting older myself....it does appear that faith has been lost in the management and it is a value trap.
Re: why the drop? Agreed - it's pretty depressing. But the discount to NAV is at an absurd record high, so it doesn't feel a good time to sell. Its certainly the case that the underlying investments have fallen too, but not by half as much. I can only guess that the market is losing confidence in MVI's share picking skills. I can completely understand those bailing out against such unrelenting, steady SP falls, but there is still value. Guess I'm battling with this one:"The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent."Is MVI perhaps a value trap?J
Re: why the drop? For me this has over the past year been the worst performer in my basket of shares. When I think the price won't drop again it does. I read something about Spanish Internet investments and car dealerships which have metaphorically gone further South.I see this whopping discount with regard to the NAV.I can't imagine how a shareholder in shareholder's meeting would behave based on the current share value performance. Is it possible this company could be a take over target on the back of such a vote of no confidence in the management? It surely would be prize?
discounted enough Discount now cheap enough at close to 30%. Company should stop the dividend policy which is a pointless return of capital, otherwise they do make sensible investments and these are beginning to become a bit more established. Gloo has still done nothing and would expect further news on an acquisition in the next three months. Buy and add on weakness...
The only way is up? Has the share price finally turned? Why is there such a disconnect with the way the market moves? Can somebody shed some light?
Re: why the drop? Thet dont hold ETO.
Re: why the drop? Sorry , dont knowHow does anyone find extra info on the current composition of this fund ?...... but it has been copying the ETO fall .....SAGE
why the drop? I see a whopping great discount to NAV and a share price which keeps dropping.I thought 'they' had bailed out of E1 and generally making shrewd investments.....if anyone explained it would be very much appreciated.
Re: starting to be worth a look discount now out to about 17% (I estimate) .... worth starting to build position
starting to be worth a look Performance over last 7 months is average loss of 5% per month... some time this market madness will abate! The discount is widening again closer to 15% and should go North of 20% - when it does worth starting to buy again
sell have sold MVI and bought ETO.MVI discount has closed to about 15% today and whilst MVI holds a decent chunk of ETO they have other investments to make. I will watch what they buy and still like their approach but the discount will move back to 25% again and will look at investing again at that level.
Entertainment One seems too big a percentage of the total fund?
Ent One Has Marwyn started offloading much of its Ent One holding yet ?What will Marwyn invest in instead ?SAGE
