Re: It's doomed to failure Tpods have not even shipped from Asia yet. We may have "launched" before Christmas but I cant see how these customers will get their Tpods before Christmas.Im annoyed that I invested here. Years ago it seemed a good idea and I knew what I was getting into. However, following constant share issues, time and quicker developments I cant help but feel this technology is now old.A quick look on Amazon shows plenty of devices that do similar things. Im just hoping that people dont know about this technology and that Motive do such a great advertising promo that people suddenly think they need this in their lives. Doesnt this do the same [link]
Re: It's doomed to failure "Some people on LSE have ordered theirs, I'm waiting to see when their tuners actually turn up...Christmas yes but which one "Not heard of any of the pre-orders have turned up yet.I feel sorry for JLF over there as he see's the only one with a brain cell (one or two exceptions) and can actually see what's going on here.
Re: It's doomed to failure I've watched this for years and it is a good stock for day trading. Goes up fast but comes down even quicker. Can't see any real potential as there have been devices like this in the UK before and they never took off. As for the licencing? yes it is for the premises but anyone living at the premises is covered. If not, everyone with a car radio would have to get their own. Or that's my take on it.GLA
Re: It's doomed to failure That's your view and you are fully entitled to hold it.Personally I don't think its aimed at commuters. America will be the biggest market where cable etc. costs mush more that over here, many people struggle with internet speed just like here so its a great alternative and there isn't the 10 second delay like you get watching over the internet.Over here will be a smaller market I think aimed at caravan users, fishermen those in the army etc. anyone who is regularly out of internet reception. There is also all the other things the company does this is not just a one trip pony but I'm sure you already know that.Anyway time will tell, by spring we will know if TTV has taken off and either you will be right or me.GLS
Re: It's doomed to failure Like Len I wouldn't buy into MTV.The whole product goes back to the 70's, yesterday I was on a busy commuter train and I was trying to envisage people holding their tablet, holding their tuner and holding the grab rail, don't know many 3 handed people!Even the issue over the TV licence isn't clear. If I remember the licence is registered to a premise so if you were to use your Tablet TV in the Tate Museum how do you know they have a licence?I've watched MTV for years only as education how a company can go down the pan whilst the shareholders don't know.
Re: It's doomed to failure Wow your bitter ... you must have lost a packet on this one? This might be a winner it might fall on its face but that's AIM for you. Anyway good luck with your other investments hopefully they do betterS
It's doomed to failure Tablet TV will never be taken up, who wants to take a transistor radio with a telescopic aerial to muck about with around with them. Tablets are slim and fashionable but old radios aren't. People will lose their tuners at whim and nearly to replace at circa £70 so people will soon get fed up. Where did you see it last love? Top of Ben Nevis, oh! buy another. Some people on LSE have ordered theirs, I'm waiting to see when their tuners actually turn up...Christmas yes but which one
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning I have not seen any coverage anywhere; Mind you, imagine how many billions of shares they would have to issue to finance a a TV ad campaign!Even the preorder website is hopeless. Where does it say the dimensions or weight of the unit and what the expected battery life is - two rather fundamental points when buying a portable piece of technology. I despair of this bunch of amateurs.
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning Exactley!
Re: Where do you see the SP at Christmas 2014? Looks like I was correct all along - no chance this will ever get above 0.02 and hold!! Will be bust within a year IMHO
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning MTV are so rubbish. If I wasn't a share holder I would never have known that this was happening. Has anyone else seen any coverage?
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning The launch does not seem convincing. No TV coverage, no media coverage, not even a facebook page?? Have they done any marketing for it?
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning Market not convinced so far with either US numbers (or lack of) and damp squib UK launch far from convinced myself should have had this rolled out a year ago now competing with TV offerings everywhere Welloiled1
Re: Nice start to a Monday morning I hope so.One thing that did surprise me in today's RNS was the complete lack of any news about the US? If the launch in the US had been successful they would have mentioned it, surely? Anyway, let us all hope they get freeview certification as well.
Nice start to a Monday morning Nice 20% climb this morning! Now let the sales begin and shift some boxes!!
