Phillipine Government Looks like they are closing down a shed load of mines including Gold, Nikel, Not good really with such shananagans going off have sold a few just incase it affects the company which am sure it may not but the report is pretty bad.

Re: online comment The online comment is guess work from Hub. Nobody really knows where or who is buying or selling as no RNS has been issued please stick to,the fact and not online speculation from an individual who knows no more than the rest of us on here.

Re: online comment That's great, now we know where the shares are coming from, because private investors certainly aren't letting go of them, were all buying, once they have finished adjusting their holdings, stock will dry up, good news on production and 5p will be a thing of the past.

online comment From thesharehub.com“In 2016, the company achieved a moderate sized equity placing at 5p a share which was largely spread across the institutions who dominate ownership of the stock to the tune of near 75% of all shares in issue. This doesn’t leave much of a free float but over the last few weeks, Ruffer and Baker Steel Capital, two of the large institutions have kindly been dropping wedges of stock into the market. Volume over the last weeks has been “large” and buyers are not in short supply. It’s important to have a sufficient balance between institutional ownership and liquidity especially when looking to bolster the stock’s interest and attract new market markers.Price action of this sort can often be pinned to a rotation of stock from one institution to another or it could suggest news is on the way.MTL is certainly one to watch and has plenty of merits as one of the lowest cost producers out there."

Re: Money Week Tip 5 experts, that's nice to know, agree with the gist, that's what I saw when I looked closely, all good things will come to those that wait, patience required to let this blossom, volumes looking real good, as usual 90% buys, where are the shares coming from when sells are rarer than hens teeth?

RtheHawk 30 Jan 2017

Re: Money Week Tip Sorry no l have binned it but they are on the web presumably. About 5. Experts were giving a total of 17 top buys for 2017 and this was one of them. The gist was that it was cheap extraction , proven reserves and already producing with a min life of 10 years. Hope this helps

Re: In the whole scheme of things Pleased to see a veteran of MTL bullish, I'm bullish too, what's not to like about its current position, it all looks really sweet and controlled, the only risk I saw was the Phillipine Governent closing mines down, but as MTL have green issues well looked after, that won't effect us, Gold should hold around $1200/ounce leaves us a huge margin at $460/ounce production costs, so no concerns here as long production is generating revenue now, further share dilution should be a thing of the past, MTL could buy back shares or start a dividend payment with future profits once the $81 million loan is cleared in 3 years, increasing share valueThe volumes I mentioned earlier, majority being buys hasn't had the effect on increasing the share price, Maverick, with your experience, is this something you have seen with the stock in the past? Appreciate your views

In the whole scheme of things 1m shares at 5p ain't anything to write home about.I have been invested here 7 years. This is the first time I am bullish on this stock.

Re: 1 million buy I did read somewhere that the director who bought had a company that was involved in the placeing, so may be funny money, am not totaly sure to be honest, but remember reading it somewhere.Senn.

Re: 1 million buy The Director buy was the catalyst into investing here, it raised my interest, then looking at the business I really liked it's operation, the numbers are attractive, I still believe a Director making that size purchase knows his apples from his pears, it's only been a few weeks since his purchase, I can't see how the wheels could have come off since then, could the market maker be holding onto shares he's taken cheaply (circa 5p) and keeping a lid on the the shareprice until the news is released on production, then let Jo public pay a lot more, increase his margin? Just thoughts, confused but still feel we're onto a winner

Re: 1 million buy If that's the case, the director who recently bought millions will have enough egg on his face to make a few omelettes

Re: 1 million buy Am smelling a rat to be honest. All so called buys and the sp is static, I hope there not letting the money flow out before bad news? Hope not time will tell.
