Re: Motif bio Last.... 31p all in ( D )
Re: Updated chart comments Penhome, with an early stage company like this where share price is driven on future potential before there is any real revenue stream or earnings, share price movements are driven hugely by news (good or bad). The fact that trials so far have not shown any nasties, helps to drive investor enthusiasm and share price trend. However the need for ongoing capital to support getting the company to successful market launch and revenues should always be checked. The last fund raise created a large dilution. A similar fund raise will likewise do similar. If private investors are not given to opportunity to take part in those discounted fund raises (which they are often not, the new shares often offered to the investment houses / vc's) , you inevitably suffer dilution. Happens all the time in start up companies and oil exploration comanpies etc. So when to time entry/exit. Look out for positive news and ride the gains but be aware of likely timing for capital raises. I believe mtfb will need more funds before year end to complete correct trials. A good time to get in might be immediately after events like that, and to take profiles on good news driving up the price thereafter , but never to be too greedy by holding on too long. Nothing is guaranteed and stocks of this nature are high risk. Always check the company cash levels , and catch burn rate.
Re: Updated chart comments I agree with you on the black hovering cloud of fund raising, but how do you time entry and exits on this without using charts? What other metrics are you using?
Re: Updated chart comments Reminder that these guys will need to raise new funds to complete all of the trials. I think this explains the fall back in price after the initial excitement from the recent first trial completion. Not sure charts are really helpful at this point. Uncertainty about what and how funding will be done will inevitably cause a drag on share price. Time your entries and exits here carefully. Great product with great promise, but watch out for further dilutions etc.
Re: Updated chart comments Some positives here - notes are on the chartVolume is showing signs of picking up[link]
Re: Updated chart Yes, PH, sentiment has turned against us for the time being. With no news due in the next two weeks (at least) I fear this trend may continue.Hopefully, friends will return, but, until then, we may find buying opportunities. Thanks for your thoughts.TP
Re: Updated chart As suggested in my post on 4th May, if 34 didn't hold, then 31 was the next target. It fell below 31 intraday today, closing at 31.5If 31 doesn't hold, then next target is 28Daily volume continues to decline and has been below its 20sma for the last 14 days. Unless this changes, then 28 is likely.[link] am a long term holder and usually optimistic poster here.
Re: Motif bio Topped up @ 31p..... 1.30pm showing as a sell so can't go by trade history ( i wonder if its corrected later ? )Can see i bought on 2nd May @ 35p ( D ) ... looks like this is my third go at it.First might be in ISA ( W )
Re: Updated chart I posted this chart here on 23rd April anticipating a pullback to the 34-36 region.Notes are on the chart[link] that 37 has failed to hold, it's moved to the 50% Fib line at 34. These Fib lines show % retracements of the strong move from 23p to 44p in late March-April. As a rule of thumb 80% of strong moves retrace 50% most of the time. This is the current chart. The question is whether it holds at 50% which is also where the 20sma is. If not, 31 is likely.[link]

Re: OT. Re: $25 new target for Nasdaq I did say 'potential' breakout!Technical reasons for seeing it as a possibility are in the notes on this daily chart.[link] up over the last two days. Two large buys at 9.59am today: 130k and 179k at £2.05. Total over £630k.Its price action since mid March suggests a tightish stop so limited downside.Pen
Re: OT. Re: $25 new target for Nasdaq Looking at the bb for TTG I see that "old joe" tipped it as a breakout in Dec. Seems rangebound for years so is there anything to justify a breakout now ? High volume ? Large trades ? News ?I don't know the company well enough to make any calls on it. Just off out for tea and cakes in a typically English tea room here in Puglia, Italy ))TP
