NEW ARTICLE: Insider: Backing these two recovery plays "Mothercare trio dig deepIn early 2010, LSE:MTC:Mothercare shares were worth almost 700p. A few months ago they could be bought for 105p, not far off prices last seen 14 years ago. And, like in 2003, the babycare retailer has been dogged by ..."[link]

Richard Griffiths Seems to be building a stake here. Now over 7%. Does anybody have any ideas on what could be going on?

Re: MOTHERCARE, Technically Very Bulllis... I'm paying more attention to this now. But after recently breaking out it broke back down almost as much so I was worried about a fake bull signal.. but it's moving back up again now and as you say old joe. the p/e is low and this has been A LOT higher previously. Their turnaround has been slow though...Euro business looked up and then got UK business picking up but Europe sliding again by then.. also their web offering is average from feedback I've read.. but that should be reasonably readily addressable..My position here is small but I may start growing it out somewhat soon. ( my retailer recovery plays are Carpetright, Sports Direct and Mothercare.. I expect at least one of them to make a great come back, which one I don't know, so far, alas.)

MOTHERCARE, Technically Very Bulllish... MTC Mothercare, technical set up looks very bullish as we can see from the chart. Plenty of Stale Bulls being pushed aside now. Low P/E.[link]

Non Exec steps down. Would be nice if they gave a reason. Results out soon, hope I'm not reading too much into this.GLA

Re: Results Thursday: hope springs etern... Poor results. I had a small position and sold half of it this morning. If this goes under 100p I might add a - very - little more.A very frustrating situation here: the UK business looked like it was turning around and has now taken a step back, while the Euro business looked like it was regressing and has now taken a step forward.. I guess the diversification of having both helps somewhat and Euro revenues are helpful too at this weak sterling time. I think this transformation program may yet get this back on track but even if next update is decent the market would perhaps need another one on top to believe again.. And that's perhaps another year gone by.

Re: Results Thursday: hope springs eternal Some hefty buys went through today. Several over 20k so lets hope they know something, seems like a lot of money to invest on a hunch.GLA

Results Thursday: hope springs eternal This S/P is seemingly very low. If results are decent it will motor. If UK business stays on track they just need to get Euro business out of its trough.. it doesn't have to be turned around completely, just showing progress,,,,Insiders have bought reasonably recently.. this rallied this afternoon.. so there is a sporting chance here.. I think/hop
