51p My first purchase of Moss at 51p.Recovery stock, I think plus divi to boot.We shall see. I think retail sector has been proven very risky with companies going to wall but this seems a better option. Just my 2 pence though.
NEW ARTICLE: How FTSE 100 just made a 10-week high "After a near-two-week pause following a rally from the March low, the @GB:UKX:FTSE 100 has finally broken out of a frustratingly tight 130-point range to hit a 10-week high. With renewed momentum, and right in the middle of historically the ..."[link]
NEW ARTICLE: Buyers for Moss Bros still hard to find "Last week's profit warning may have taken some of the sting out of the situation, but LSE:MOSB:Moss Bros is already facing an uphill struggle for the remainder of its trading year. There has certainly not been a shortage of stock with regard to ..."[link]
Re: Todays update Let me say I have been in Mosb for a long time. Out now.....After many years experience. One thing to remember? They have dropped drastically for a reason! Supplier problems like new I T systems have caused catastrophes for many a business over the years. And not an easy/quick fix !Hope to be sorted late spring? Yeh o.k.?Divi cut with cash in hand, my gut feelings tell me this is a big problem. We shall see!
Re: Todays update Not sure i'd agree with you that these are a bargain, although the dividend os attractive and the balance sheet pretty strong. If you want to make buy/sell reccomendations use Internet Explorer rather than Google Chrome. It seems to work then for some reason.
Re: Todays update Many people still marry and the men rent their wedding garb from Moss Bros. There's little need for an on-line presence as the suits need to be tried on.Come the summer, come the boost in trade. A absolute bargain at this SP.I would put a 'strong buy' indicator on but the m o r o n s at iii haven't fixed the problem of the recommendation bar being hidden under the headings bar!
Re: Todays update TX2Are not too little stock and too few customers mutually exclusive.
Re: Todays update Too little stock to sell to too few customers.
Re: Back in fashion Depends if you can get your suit of course!Still stand by this buy??
Todays update Well I guess when your job starts to be on the line you might sort things out.Was tipped at far higher price and still paying a div.Only a small holding here, seem to remember they had a fair bit of cash?
What?? Why the big slump of 7% today on very few trades? I thought MOSB was trading well?!
NEW ARTICLE: Three of the best small and mid-cap income stocks "Cast your nets further down the market cap spectrum, say James Henderson and Laura Foll of Lowland Investment Company. The UK dividend seeker's dilemma: avoiding too much income concentration. The concept surrounds a fairly well-penned story in the ..."[link]
Great Results Moss seems to be moving in the right direction now. Nice results and great divis as well. Time to top up.
Rangebound???? Just wondering what it will take for MOSB to break out of the 90 -110p type range it's been in for the last couple of years? We have been told there are store upgrades making an impact and the e-offering is going well but either they are just not fast enough changes or big enough?Trading update due soon, what do others expect and will it realistically be enough to move the shares forward. Thanks in anticipationPE
