Re: Proactive investors interview 10 Nov As far as I can see the biggest problem with any investment here is the company's stated wish to conduct a further placing to raise $50m. The market cap is currently around £25m and to raise that sum of money at the current share price would involve creating around 1bn new shares. Even raising the money at 10p per share, a stonking 200% plus increase on today's price, would involve increasing the issued share capital by 50%. Anyone relying on Edison's net asset value figures to generate an uptick in the share price might want to calculate what that kind of share issuance would do to the figures. Moreover, this is a company that has existed for nine years and apparently in that time has earned no revenue. They have given no indication as to when they might expect to become profitable so it is reasonable to assume that the next placing will not be the last. True there are large, very large, institutional holdings and the company is obviously confident that the money can be raised, but the placing to come rather rules out any of these institutions buying in the market so the share price relies on private investors, who are unlikely to make any money in the short to medium term, to get things moving. If this were not bad enough the auditors noted, in the last set of accounts, "Should the proposed fundraising activity be unsuccessful, the Group and Company may no longer be viable. This condition indicates the existence of a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt about the Group and Company's ability to continue as a going concern."IMO there are plenty of better prospects out there for small investors, companies with large cash balances and near term catalysts to drive the share price, companies with stable boards, where the directors hold a lot of stock and give timeframes and guidance on future cash flow. The idea that, according to French media, this company is about to change from exploration to production should be set against the company's own lack of detailed comment on revenue and likely profits....... which IMO are likely never to materialise. And, of course, the best thing that could happen right now, from the company's perspective, is a rapid rise in the share price, which as I said, can only come from small investors, and which would enable them to get the placing away at a higher price. Hence, I suspect, the positive noises from the likes of Edison. Be careful out there IMO.
Proactive investors interview 10 Nov sorry if this has been posted before, well worth a view if your researching.[link] far they've spent 300 Million $ on this project. Market cap £20 Interesting ?
Some good volumes today [link] previous post was also a good find and is most likely why sudden trading has occurred. So an extremely good buy for recovery and hopefully this year looking at their graph below ......[link]
French media cover Oil sector : Madagascar to enter the circle of producers of black gold 4th February 2015There is only one last step. Madagascar Oil is currently pending approval Tsimiroro Development Plan - Tsimiroro Development Plan ( TDP ) . Once it is approved, probably in the first quarter, Madagascar Oil will leave the exploration phase to switch to that of actual operation .The company will then obtain a mining exploitation title for a period of 25 years , granted by presidential decree in accordance with the Production Sharing Agreement. Despite an oil price environment down , TDP is committed to strengthening the volume of its investments because the development of Tsimiroro registers on the long term and Madagascar Oil remains confident about the viability of Tsimiroro project.[link]

top up 2 greetings,my First cash investment since the bank crash, yesterday lunchtime i put my savings £3k = 30,000 @ 10.2 (trade not showing - dontya love aim's transparency !)[link] the Moil team video chatting typical pr guff, e.g. in a very, very short space of time, to the blonde from Proactive.we will be the first ever Malagasy 'oil producer' selling to market; hopefully, (hence my further investment) we'll be seen as better value with a govt. approved development plan & first sales, so that needing to 'raise around US$50m in early 2015', after a re-rating, will not drastically affect us pi's.happy days plate !
