ASX volume for 2 days now has remained non existent. Good news for MNC holders as no follow from the short term traders selling out in the UK. They are selling just when the company might be close to securing a substantial deal and securing its future... Bonkers if you ask me, however commercial reasons are the main theme of the moment for us. Good luck to us all. Copper seems to be stabilising or forming a base but it is at the mercy of the wider metal market. To add or not to add is the question. Remain bullish!
CRITICAL bit of the latest RNS, gives me greater confidence and I am surprised this didnt boost share price: The Company for commercial and confidentiality reasons is not at liberty to disclose more at this stage.
Today was a shame, the RNS was actually good news. They have for the first time released a statement that added the term commercial reason that they were not at liberty to disclose more at this stage. All previous news have stated interested parties and confidentiality alone stopped them stating more. Well done to holders today, there was some sells from a few people and the Market Makers did their damn hardest but failed. I think the TD2 drill target may have been delayed to save cash as that is what they need to secure deals and negotiations. WHowe exercised his options out of the money and literally weeks before todays news about Chile issues, which most of us written off. So we have stuff going on, Board busy with due diligence and nervous investors.
Re: Los Calatos summary Any projects with large capex requirements just won't happenThey need to look at bringing some smaller projects online to generate positive cash flow
I topped up this afternoon and that hasn't shown up as a buy or sell??? ..A lot of hidden trades today.
Re: MNC Stream Log *at present
Have been told Mollacas has been delayed twice due to Judges stating prior exposure to the case. Scheduled for next week against present. Though could be several weeks after it actually happens to get verdict. I am still fully in anyway and not going anywhere.
Mollacas I have been told that Moll hearing is mid Oct but decision may not be given until early to mid Nov.
Los Calatos summary I've seen a very good summary of the recent updates. The fact that the current market cap is £6m and to develop the asset capital expenditure of $650m is required makes it still very much impossible to see this through. The best we can hope for is that they will manage to sell the proposition in its current form.[link] (LON:MNC) 0.26 pence, Mkt Cap £6.4m Quarterly Report and revised Los Calatos development strategy Metmincos quarterly report focuses on the changes to the proposed mine development of the Los Calatos deposit in Peru previously announced. The decision to move from the earlier plan involving large scale open pit and underground mining to a smaller scale underground mining operation focussed on sub-level caving has substantially reduced capital exposure to develop a mine which was originally expected to cost $1.5bn, later scaled back to $1.32bn. Metmincos new plan, which still requires substantial infill drilling and engineering work, will mine at 25% of the rate originally envisaged (6mtpa vs 24 mtpa) to produce 46% of the copper output (45 ktpa vs 98.4 ktpa) at around half the capital expenditure ($650m vs $1.32bn). Mine life has been reduced from 34 years to 17 years. Cash operating costs are reported to be slightly (7%) higher at $1.20/lb after by-product credits. The revised plan generates an after tax NPV of $285m at an 8% discount rate and has a 5.3 years payback. Metminco shows 30th June cash balances of A$2m (US$1.5m).Conclusion: Metminco has developed a more robust project at Los Calatos as a result of scaling back the throughput and capital expenditure to mine higher grade ore over a shorter period. This pragmatic approach to optimising project development is welcome.
Re: Is anyone there's a massive overhang.... all fundamentals go out the window when someones offloadingwould expect a holding RNS in the near future
