Re: Amazon Oh yes they do, Whole Foods.They also reportedly approached JLP about an offer for Waitrose last year,which was swiftly rejected.Oh, and Amazon have also begun opening some physical stores in the USa very small scale atm.I don't think it's a reason to buy MKS, and I don't hold shares atm.

How do I unfilter someone? I went to vote a post Up and have inadvertently filtered someone instead,never use filter so at a complete loss.You have to marvel at my technical literacy!.

Re: Short Sellers The results are history and typical of all "new brooms" they have thrown everything including the "kitchen sink"into last year costs. This augurs well for this year and i suspect there is still one substantive announcement just round the corner!

Re: Short Sellers Around 12% of M&S is being shorted but it also needs some shareholders to loan the shares to the shorters which they receive a fee. Some think there might be a squeeze on the shorters generating more upward moves on share price. We shall see.When I saw M&S results I expected the worse but am surprised by approx 18p + tick up which adds to the idea shorters are bring squeezed.

If there's a negative, it's that, apart from a short spell at Topshop, he's been with them since he was 15 (Saturday job), so I read, but that's not necessarily a negative. Short Sellers M & S is I believe the most shorted stock in the FTSE 100 and being of the old school of investors who like to back a good company through its ups and downs giving it my support by my investment, it is so nice to see these short sellers mostly hedge funds who through the shear weight of the money they can use to short a stock to force the price down now running for the hills crying over their lost bonuses.
