PD has been issued.......... Excellent news MIN. Now to add some value.....................JackMinoan Group plc11 Mar 2016 151:17Minoan Group PLCRNS Number : 8896RMinoan Group PLC11 March 2016 11 March 2016MINOAN GROUP PLC (the "Group" or "Minoan" Presidential Decree IssuedMinoan Group Plc is pleased to announce that the Presidential Decree ("PD" granting land use approval for its project in Crete (the "Project" has been issued. The President of the Hellenic Republic of Greece, Mr Prokopios Pavlopoulos has signed the decree and it has been published in the Government Gazette today. It's not all about Crete............. RNS of July 2015 is maybe a reminder of what's to come from the Travel Division:Here is the full version. Points to note:1. 2015 YTD Gross Sales up 15%2. 2015 Commissions up 17%3. Acquisition of New Corporate Customers. 4. 2015 expected to be in line with 2014, due to one off trading negatives. 5. Back Office issue was sorted. 6. 2016 Market expectations remain valid. 7. The Board was confident that the Groups Travel division would bear significant fruits in the coming year.5 months into 2016, so let's here it !! Results due in 3 weeks............Jack14 July 2015Minoan Group Plc(the "Group"Trading UpdateThe Directors of the Group are pleased to note that the well publicised situation in Greece now appears to be moving towards resolution. The Government, elected in January this year, has been concentrating its efforts on resolving the larger issues facing the country and, understandably, this has meant a delay in the procedures leading to the signature of the Presidential Decree ("PD" for the Group's project in Crete. As announced on 18 March 2015, a Plenum of the Greek Council of State (the highest Court in Greece) gave its unanimous approval of the draft PD, which was signed off by the President of the Council of State. In normal circumstances the Greek President's signature of the PD would have followed in a few weeks. In the hope that the agreement between Greece and the EU/Members of the Eurozone will now be ratified by the Greek Parliament, the Group has been advised that normal Government procedures will resume shortly thereafter. In the meantime, the underlying performance of the Group's travel division has continued to improve with Gross Sales up by 15% and Commissions up by 17% in the current financial year. This is despite difficulties in Aberdeen relating to the oil price, which have had a detrimental effect on the performance of our corporate travel division. This will be ameliorated going forward by the recent acquisition of other non-oil related corporate customers. As can be imagined, the long running situation in Greece and, tragically, recent events in Tunisia have also had an impact. In addition, there has been a dispute with our back office services provider relating to cash settlements, which has now been resolved. The effect of this on our profitability means that the Group's results for the current financial year will no longer meet current market expectations but are expected to be in line with the previous year. As these items are all one-off, we do not believe they will impact upon trading in the financial year ending 31 October 2016 and accordingly we believe that market expectations for this period remain valid.Nonetheless, the Group is continuing to pursue a number of opportunities about which we will update the market and shareholders when they are concluded.

Minoan Group Edges Closer....... Press hotting up.....but nothing we don't already know.Be good to get an update on the core travel business. The BOD did stated that the Back Office issue was ring fenced into last year and they also maintained Market guidance for 2016. 5 months into the new year (2016) and Stewart Travel are rumoured to be doing well............................will be nice to get confirmation.......................JackMinoan Group Edges Closer to Developing on CreteAccording to news from Minoan Group, the resort development project is a step closer to getting approval for building on the Cavo Sidero peninsula. After several years of red tape dealings, the Chairman of Minoan says signatures for a needed presidential decree may be forthcoming. Stocks in the company surged on the news. While the company announcement cautioned that the full confirmation is not yet decreed, Minoan’s Christopher Egleton had this to offer:“Whilst the company has not received a formal confirmation of this news, it has received verbal confirmation from sources within the Greek government.”The Minoan Group chair went on to relate how the hard work of various governmental ministers has paid off, at least according to rumors of a verbal confirmation ring true. A petition a couple of years back has so far derailed the development over sustainability and concerns of disrupting unique antiquity features of this peninsula. The project passed the all-important strategic environmental assessment from the Central Archaeological Council of Greece. All that is required now is the aforementioned Presidential decree. The site of the proposed development near Itanos, has some 28 kilometres of coastline, numerous secluded bays and inlets that are pristine and unique in the Mediterranean. Minoan Group swears that when completed, the resort will be the most environmentally friendly in all Europe.According to prices on the London Stock Exchange, Minoan shares have gained roughly 40% since the February announcement.Minoan Group Plc is a Travel and Leisure company headquartered in Glasgow. The company owns and operates a number of travel agencies, and also operates a resort development division currently developing this five star plus quality resort on Crete.Readers interested in learning more about this development should contact Minoan Group at: Tel: +44 (0)208 253 4305 Email: mail(at)minoangroup.com[link]

Re: Euphoria Tattie, from your posts, you always come across as a glass half empty, kinda chap. No offence implied BTW.Did you not get in at 5p in September, three years ago when you were thinking of doing so?Not trying to put you on the spot, just curious.I've followed this company since 2009 but didn't physically commit, properly, till last year.Had a few dealings before that but didn't hold for long before taking profit and going back to waiting on the sidelines. Please don't feel any pressure to answer this if you don't don't care too. Just curious.Gl, regarless. Si.PS. The G key has just detached itself from from the keyboard. I now have a rubber stump.Great. lol.

17 busy working days left............ .........until annual results to 31 Oct 15 are released (probably on 31 Mar like previous years).Or is all the hard work already done? Will the PD get signed off prior to release of results? How many RNS are due in the next 3/4 weeks. I think it would be a wasted opportunity to RNS "PD signed". A significant RNS would be much better "PD Signed, qualify the timetable, confirm the Consortium, confirm Finance Structure and Development Grants available"Maybe MIN will up the RNS ante and also give us some decent core travel business news, back office sorted, bookings and profit growth..........Enjoy Easter while we wait.........

Re: Company valuation on government approval... Barno99.........Yes the question of value will be dependant on what they intend to do with the Project once the PD is signed off. It's worth reminding yourself of what the vision is (See below from MIN website). Are Six Sense still interested as a potential Partner, as the website suggests. They already have an exclusive operation in Crete. [link] other Partners has Mr Day lined up. Is funding ready to go, what is the funding Structure, what is the quality of the Project consortium, what EU Grants are available, will they just sell on after 20 years........and let's not forget the core travel business. Dispite Greek wider woes, tourism was at an all time high for 2015 and brought in €Bn's to their economy. I fully expect Greece to maintain/increase their Tourism, so with the right offering and the right team to drive this forward, there is money to be made. The Market will not value "expectation" these days, but if the Directors do manage to present a credible, well funded forward plan.....the Market wil have to listen!!!Jack========== ========== ========== ========== ========== ========== ========== ===Crete »Minoan Group Plc’s operations in Greece currently centre on the development and subsequent operation of what we plan to be a new landmark for tourism in Greece. The project will include a number of small to medium sized hotels of extremely high standards, both in terms of the service offered and environmental credentials. It is the Group’s intention that the development and operation of the Project will be undertaken with financial and other partners of substance. These partners will include Hotel Operators who are capable of enhancing the Group’s vision of a very high quality, environmentally impeccable tourist destination with long term sustainability built in to the design and operating procedures. The site for the Project is the Cavo Sidero peninsula, a spectacular location extending into the Mediterranean from the North Eastern coast of Crete in the prefecture of Lasithi. The site, in the locality of Itanos, will be held on a long lease granted by the Ecclesiastical Foundation, Panagia Akrotiriani and comprises 25,000 stremmata (over 6,000 acres). It has 28 kilometres of coastline, numerous secluded bays and inlets as well as an interior with rolling hills where herbs such as thyme and marjoram are part of the natural vegetation. With a built footprint of less than 0.5% of the site the Project aims to preserve the landscape and leave more than 90% in its natural state and create conditions for the regeneration of vegetation. The history of Itanos began 5.000 years ago and the broader area is rich in archeological sites. These include ancient palaces and towns, including the partially submerged ruins of Itanos itself. Together with old tales and traditions they form a unique cultural heritage. .In the North East of the area we have designed a project to blend in with and complement the landscape. It will be a new destination for Crete and Greece. Our architects have been inspired by the past whilst using the best of modern technology to create a sustainable whole. Inspiration has been taken from the ancient palaces and the Holy Monastery of Toplou, which sits just to the South of the Project site. We have designed hotels offering 5 and 6 star service in a resort that embraces the highest environmental credentials and is a prime example of sustainability. The Project will be self sufficient in water and energy resources, 650 rooms and individual suites will cater for the more sophisticated needs of today’s travelers. The amenities of the Project will include a multitude of land based and water sports. A heathland golf course designed around the natural contours of the land will include the latest techniques to encourage the regeneration of eco-systems and their wildlife. Together with a number of spas and wellness centres, cultural
