‘Buy’ Medica on strong demand Buy Medica on strong demandBerenberg has initiated coverage of Medica (MGPM) with a buy rating, pointing to the companys 50% share of the growing teleradiology market.Analyst Charles Weston placed a 260p price target on the shares, which jumped 6.4% to 224p yesterday. With [approximately] 50% of the UK teleradiology market and a reputation as the premium quality provider, Medica is able to charge 5% to 10% more than its peers, he said.He added there was strong demand for its services, with the National Health Service in particular struggling with capacity constraints. The UK has fewer radiologists than other developed nations, resulting in increasing diagnostic waiting lists 99% of NHS radiology departments were unable to meet their reporting requirements in 2015.[link]

Re: Trading Update Just restarted my SCSW subscription after about 8 years break, during which time I had paid my dues to TMI - effectively the same crew as SCSW but they kept pushing some of the retailers and oilies again and again. I (almost) got why they liked Tullow, but Brown N? and Supergroup? All three never really conformed to the principles of Momentum stocks and Tullow has since collapsed to a price not seen since I first bought them in 2004. Best share I've owned by a country mile is Melrose, with Halma and NMC bringing up the rest of the podium. Hope Medica can aspire to their performances, no reason it wouldn't but it is early days yet. Just hope the Management aren't sitting on their haunches expecting the money to roll in and that they are a forward looking, outside the box, exploit all ideas type of group. Good luck.
