Time to exit? MCB XXXX Looks like some sort of script dividend they have issued B shares which you can sell back ( default option ) or keep . Time to exit? MCB XXXX These bounced back to 100p by Friday 1st March less then two weeks after profit warning fall to 87p . The new shares are Dividend shares ( my post Oct 18 ? ) which you apparently can sell back every April if you wish. ( D ) referred to a consolidation maybe that is what my post 12th Dec 2018 refers to ?

Information please MCB… XXXX Just asked my broker about these ( DEG shares ( called B here ) ) no avatar yesterday so not able to see this explanation from. MIG_MostlyWrong… thank you . Noticed MIG has not posted anywhere since July 2016 . In March 2014 price was 106p fell back after by the October 2014 80p . Last December 2017 230p . Profit warning yesterday back down to 85p . Pugugly on advfn "supermarket price war not good fatal pressure " Salisbury , Asda deal looks like to be turned down by regulator .

Value at 130p If they are on 10 times this year's earnings (adjusted of course hey ho) per the company guidance, maybe the downside is now minimal and the shares are a contrarian buy at 130p having fallen from 200p in January, I reckon so anyway and am back in FWLIW. WDIK and DYOR

Re: Six share tips for 2018 Oooops!FWIW I'd sold in the autumn half at 220p and the other half at 182p because the downtrend seemed to be continuing. Had made well over 100% on both so still seemed fair. Had been somewhat regretting that when it rose again but today's news is a shock. Likely to be further irrational selling as analysts penalise management for not giving them the heads up LOL.

Re: Trading Update Share gardenerI haven't studied the stock like you or held it but had a quick read of the statement, which wasn't too worrying, and a brief look at the rather unimpressive recent financial performance per the HL website. It has always seemed an ok stock to me but never tempting enough to buy and hold. But clearly it has a following. I just sold at 195p as I thought it might bounce to nearer 200 from 180p, might have judged this right for a change but maybe the recovery will run further.Perhaps this is an example of a wider opportunity for simple old fashioned punters like me to punish the bots who, following momentum, can take a share price down too far when there is some bad news.

Re: Trading Update Hi o-pI had held a few MCB since 2011 (bought at 139) and held on right through to sept 2017 when I sold out at 206. I was regretting that but now thinking about buying back! PCA (personal care & aerosols) sales are down significantly but Household is up.MCB supply most of the generic supermarket cleaning/laundry products. Their argument has always been that uptake is higher when disposable income falls but the big brand names eg Unilever have been discounting their prices as I understand it. MCB also co-manufacture for some of the 'brand names' hence the concerns about retaining capacity to increase output.I'll take another look at their plans in Europe as the main production sites over there are getting a revamp. Recently there have been quite vicious SP drops on a single profit warning for several companies so I may wait for the FY results as the 'H2 weighting' doesnt always materialise.A small gripe was that their B share dividend payment scheme didnt integrate well with ii's systems!Looks like you did well to get in early as bouncing up from 180 now.SG

Broker affirms 260p PT Nobody takes too much notice of analyst estimates but per the HL website Liberum have promptly come out with an affirmation of their buy rating and a price target of 260p for the stock following this morning's trading update, maybe the share will end the day nearer 200p is my guess. Now off the bottom at 184p.
