Re: consolidation "it could be a long wait"Really Dic?One month to PEA which is a MAJOR milestone. Also July 5th was last drilling news from HM so dont rule out further results over the next couple of weeks.Time to take your position if youi haven't already IMO.

consolidation seem to have stopped it in its tracks and it has become range bound .it is going to take some excellent news to move it north .To expensive for pi s and no instinctual following in the UK ,I know there is some over the pond, but still a long way of production it could be a long wait.

Re: Mineralogy Ah yes Franconia, that is likely where I've seen ' geotechnical / metallurgical' work to be announced; but it looks as though that is a more detailed study to feed into the PFS next year. Many thanks!

"Mariana and its Hot Maden joint venture partner, respected Turkish private mining group Lidya, have completed about 12,000m of this year’s scheduled 20,000m drilling programme as they work towards completion of a prefeasibility study (PFS) in 2017. The continuing drilling includes infill and resource extension, geotechnical / metallurgical, and new exploration holes.Further results are imminent, while Mariana is on track to release results of its own preliminary economic assessment (PEA) in October. The work is running in parallel with the joint venture PFS.“We will be looking at project funding options next year as we go through the PFS."All quotes from the miningnews article posted below...

Mineralogy I'm pretty sure that somewhere I have read that a mineralogy study on Hot Maden is due, and is a prerequisite before the PEA can be finalised: but I cannot find it! Can anyone shed light on where we are at regarding the mineralogical study on the Hot Maden resource rock, from which the optimum processing system is to be determined?Thanks in anticipation!

Interestingly in his recent interview Brent Cook seemed to think that only a Turkish company (probably Lidya) would be interested in buying out Mariana's stake on Hot Maden. It is also not clear why anybody should buy the company rather than the stake in HM. Mariana's remaining assets are not worthless but they probably include some prospects that a buyer of the company would not want for one reason or another.MALBRAD
