Re: Ex Div SELL..target 425..
Re: Ex Div Lambrini, Predicting a fall from 625 to 500 when 75p of that (60%) is made up of going ex-div is hardly amazing! And unless I missed a lower closing price it only fell to 515 - so you correctly predicted 35p of a 50p target fall......mostly accounted for by a negative market! You also predicted £20 for ULVR.....BANG OFF!PS. Before the trolling starts, only pulling your leg as I've been up with the little 'uns since 3am on Christmas morning.
Re: Ex Div Just realised I'm a fundamentalist Christian as well as fundamentalist investor. Both have worked reasonably well over past two decades. Not sure I could put faith in a machine that predicts the future whose underlying rules I fundamentally don't understand.
Re: Ex Div Confirmed LG
Re: Ex Div >>>and if the machine is so clever why does it not add time frames to the predictions<<<...it does that as well....on the 15th october It predicted the FTSE 100 would be 6666 at Xmas...
divi about 75p paid today
Burned shorters [link] a look at this. Someone will have got their shorts burned over the last few days. Most satisfying.........
Re: Ex Div LGYou post some good calls- stay real and you may have more followers - but its stretching credibility for any machine to know the Russian angle and Catlin news- - and if the machine is so clever why does it not add time frames to the predictionsFL
Re: Ex Div u gotta admit tho the machines very clever..it knew of the divi..russia AND catlin news.. 3 WEEKS BEFORE it happened...BANG ON!!
Re: Ex Div Well, that's a 90p div and a 5% fall in the index ( while today's "bounce", beginning 10 minutes after Catlin's announcement was simply empathy with Catlin). - an Impressive prediction, LG, - that LRE will follow the market exactly? I predict the sun will rise tomorrow morning, and hereby claim credit for tomorrow's daylight!
Re: Ex Div Where next then LG?
Re: Ex Div >>SELL(625)...£5 target...<<BANG ON!! and nice bounce..
Topped up again Topped up again today @ £5.16, which is a decent enough price. Hoped for sub £5, but I'm not sure that it will get there.......
Shorters I think that the shorters have started to bet against the dividend funds. What seems to be happening is that the dividend funds have started to 'buy' thedividends, then sell out after they have been paid. So a share with a 75p divi may fluctuate by £1. A clever shorter can trouser the 25p.In the case of LRE, there is a triple whammy; founder shares being sold, EPS falling, and a 75p payout. This has made the shares easy to short.None of the above alters my view that LRE are good value up to £5.50. Below £5 is an excellent price.
Re: Topped up Cannot understand shorting a large div payer, who can afford it like LRE, as the shorters have to then fund the dividends if holding a ashort at the ex-div date ?? Am I missing something ?
