Results Best ever results. However real encouraging things were actually order book and wcap position at +300m USD.Director buys still coming inAt my calc of 27 c per share (on a continuing /diluted/using y/e shares not averaged) - gives a PE of 5.9!!!!FD
Chairman buys Chairman buying again - he has bought about £1.6M of shares in last month or two. What does he know? Quite a lot I hope!
Re: rNS thanks durby - missed that.
Re: rNS CB - Here's the RNS (26th Jan). A purchase worth £1m.[link]
Petrofac doing nicely Oil services company 'Petrofac' appears to be in recovery mode having posted splendid finals. They are up nearly 5% today, so there is hope for Lamprell still !
Re: rNS Didn't see that one admittedly durby. what kind of trade was it?
Re: rNS Even if you add that to yesterday's over £1m purchase?!
Re: rNS Sorry, but these are hardly big purchases. A company chairman buying £22k's worth, this means nothing.Find a nice £500k O trade and then someone really has some confidence.GLAH though, I no doubt will become one at some stage I suspect.
Barclay's Views Since posted last week Petrofac having announced their £4bn contract has definitely turned the corner and I believe Lamprell should follow suite with their prospects. I mean really ' both these companies are worth investing in now. 'Petrofac"In 2015F, in an uncertain macro environment, we believe Petrofac's strong backlog and high exposure to National Oil Companies (NOCs) not only help to underpin our earnings forecasts, but position it well for further awards."
Re: rNS - and some more!"John Kennedy, Chairman, bought 22,977 shares in the company on the 19th January 2015 at a price of 100.20p. "
Re: rNS "John Kennedy, Chairman, bought 64,439 shares in the company on the 16th January 2015 at a price of 100.00p. The Director now holds 64,439 shares."So it increasingly seems that the directors have confidence that they can bring the company through a period of low oil prices without too much damage. Maybe a number of the world's ageing fleet of drilling rigs will come in for repair, refurbishment and upgrading and keep Lamprell's yards fairly busy even if orders for new rigs are postponed.
rNS Nice to see managment mopping up some stock at today's prices
Re: LAM Chart ... * ifs & buts * from * profit warning *.LOL! Anyway .....
Re: LAM Chart ... bulltraderpt - You probably do not understand Lamprell's business model. 2015 order pipeline is already secured - i.e. it will be profitable. 2016 and beyond is at risk unless they can secure enough orders for those years.__________ __________ _lol, that may, or may no be so, but I can read a daily and monthly charts and intra-day sentiment. Competition is going to intensify, re-read the RNS, it's all there. If oil stays lower until 2016 or beyond there's a good possibility of retesting the lows of a couple of years ago. But we shall have to wait and see.
Woo, that was lucky I nearly finally bought into LAM around £1.15 with a rather large sum last week. Would already a week later been nursing a large loss based on today's performance.Maybe your 60p Lambrini could occur now? My £1 has been breached, maybe further falls are possible?watching with interest. fancy some LAM at some point, not the best time perhaps right now though.
