Seasons Greetings Best wishes to all of my old friends, I told you we would get to £1 + hahaF.E.
Re: A benevolent Thanks for these very informative pricing posts DD.I too am very surprised this s/p has been so weak recently ( a blip would be a few weeks down and a bounce but this is now well longer than that) Hopefully, as wider 'metals' prices have been weaker generally in the last quarter this is being tarred with the same brush without people understanding that supply demand dynamics with Ilmenite are very different - especially with China cutting in country production as part of its rationalisation/clean up exercise - and it's actually at least staying at a good level and perhaps even continually increasing quarter on quarter.I still have high hopes here for 2017 but my confidence is a small bit shaken ( I have considerably less high hopes for two of my other high risk 'metals' shares Lonmin - PGM - and POG - gold - now for 17 than I previously recently had and that's spilling over a bit here.. granted Ilmenite is a different beast altogether and so that's somewhat illogical..)
LSE-Supaman "And you still haven't answered - why have no directors bought a decent amount of stock?"I know that you question was addressed to BF on LSE, but how about this:a) they added quite substantially in the firm placing, some very substantially;b) if you were a member of the BOD looking to see share options granted at the year-end, based on 2016 targets, sp and achievements, would you add now before the strike price is fixed, or wait until early 2017 (before the closed period) before adding?Answers on a post card please.
Another matching trade today, with 2 transactions for 423,591 shares going through at 245p at 08.48 this morning a few seconds apart. Given zero margin in it for the market maker(s), presumably that has to be the man from the Pru, or one of the other institutions switching shares from fund A to fund B using a friendly market maker keen to be in the good books of a major investor.Of course an RNS may show up later, as there have been quite a number of similar "matching" trades over the last couple of months, and someone must be in danger of going through one of the % disclosure limits.
Re: Ilmenite prices From Ruidow, US$160 (CIF) now for Moxambique ilmenite. How much per tonne does shipping it cost?[link]
A benevolent fool, or?Over a number of days now someone, I presume it is one person, has been buying multiple times a day at the buy rate (12, 19 or 31 shares at a time). I wonder if he feels that he will influence the sp? That seems to be very unlikely to me, and even if he is trading online with commissions charged on the total amount/value purchased each day, with brokerage it must an expensive way to produce a damp squib. Also recently there has been significant selling pressure at the sell price, yet to the best of my knowledge the lenders are still locked in and despite some fairly large transactions there has been no RNS on thresholds breached (3% or any 1% amount above that crossed). Also, despite a run of announcements on Ruidow, etc about regular increases in the Chinese prices for ilmenite, TiO2 slag and acid, etc, the sp has gone sideways on a gentle downwards slope. All a bit strange to me, given that 2017 looks to be good in terms of both net income, EBITDA and net cash inflows. GLA
Re: Ilmenite prices Ruidow of today, including Mozambique ilmenite at US$150 to 160 per tonne CIF.[link] very good for 2017 net income and cash flows. GLA
Re: Ilmenite prices Imports this time. China TiO2 ore imports in October dropped 25.86% from September and 32.76% YoY.[link] provided 11,632.92 tons for the month.GLA
Re: Ilmenite prices From Ruidow, "Ilmenite prices rose 100 Yuan/ton":[link] shame that they do not say since when!! Still, assuming taxes & transport total 25% of this, at current exchange rates that implies an increase of circa US$10.9 net of transport & taxes. Every little helps. GLA
Re: Mozambique Armando Guebuza, Mozambique's former President, testifies on debt scandalsZitamar News (28 NOV 2016)Former Mozambique President Armando Guebuza this morning testified to a parliamentary inquiry over the $2 billion in state debts contracted by three companies linked to the secret services during his last term in office.[KMR business is in Mozambique, austral Africa]
Re: Ilmenite prices Excellent feedback and much appreciated DD.Makes it even more surprising that KMR s/p has had a pretty sticky patch recently. Maybe all such stocks are being tarred with same brush, when this one should not necessarily have been.I'm pretty fully loaded on these, otherwise I'd add some around these levels.. If it goes under 250p I might add some more though...
Ilmenite prices An interesting and useful post from Caposoka over on the darkside, sourced from [link] 54% ~ 140 USD CIF as posted by Buklerfern and added to by Mr C.:"Thanks for this link BF. Quite useful. Skimming through,Mozambique 54% ~ CIF prices have risen over 40% since May, as per quick summary below:May 95-10018.05.16 100-11004.06.16 105-11521.06.16 110-11504.08.16 120-12508.09.16 125-13513.10.16 130-13502.11.16 135-140"2017 is starting to look even more promising. Re: Q3 N2M,A slip of the tongue, I guess!I am still waiting for some more comprehensive Chinese ilmenite market news out of Ruidow. Fine there has been a fair amount on TiO2, from slags to acidic, and something on regional ilmenite pricing, but nothing to compare to that which we were seeing in July & August, including imported & African ilmenite.Looking back to Q3, quite possibly cost per tonne and/or revenue per tonne did close the gap on a positive net income for the quarter, as production was higher, in particular for zircon recoveries.
