Re: £300 deals odd Your wish is somebodies command DD : a 'few thousand grand' - eg X,000,000 - may indeed have just been traded here as a buy to push this up a lot in very short order AGAIN very strange occurrences here.. Volatile with a capital V .. I'm long term holding here - hopefully - and so no worries for me but if I was trading some of my position actively it would be a hairy journeyNever Boring !!

DevonianDracula 24 Oct 2016

Re: £300 deals odd Yup, any trade for less than a few thousand grand seems suspect!

richtwo 24 Oct 2016

£300 deals odd large no of £300 deals, odd?

Nice to Michu 24 Oct 2016

Volatile and wide spread= Never boring.Looks to be bouncing back a bit today, at least... in the absence of concerning info. - eg Illmenite spot big retraces... etc ? -I'll just call the recent set back a blip and also add that we're all just getting to know this stock in it's new paradigm and maybe such volatility is the norm going forward... commodity stocks are always volatile anyway and this being less mainstream may by nature be more volatile again.Until I hear meaningful negative info. - if anyone has any please share it here - I'll continue to strongly believe we're on a significant winner here...

Re: What is going on If we are to believe what we are told, the Chinese economy is proving resilient, which can only help.As you state Devon, 2017 onwards is the time for reflection.Tommoo.

Re: What is going on Something, but does it mean anything?A disapointing 10+% sp drop over 2 days. In particular, as using Q3 production and shipment numbers and H1 financials, production and shipments, and taking the average $ per tonne of payments received in advance as a best estimate of average H2 ilmenite sales prices, yesterday morning I had calculated that Q3 shipments would have given a net income of zero provided ilmenite sales prices were $13 per tonne higher, or cost per tonne produced were $13 per tonne lower, or a bit of both.It is possible that payments received in advance included some amounts for zircon and or rutile. However, I consider that to be unlikely. The average realised sales price per tonne of ilmenite in H2 may well be a bit below my base price, as some contracts are not on a six month basis. At the same time, Q3 production of ilmenite, zircon and rutile were all somewhat higher than in Q1 and Q2, so average costs per tonne produced should be a good bit below H1.A mystery, as I can see no news out there. 2017 should look much better, but I would like to see another Ruidow update on the Chinese ilmenite market, as the last one was as of 31/08/2016. GLA all!

What is going on I just cant see it any ideas anyone?

Nice to Michu 13 Oct 2016

Re: Q3 Off the back of that update I'd be surprised if this doesn't go north of 400p in 2016 and north of 500p in Q1/Q2 2017. A solid update that whet's the appetite significantly for the next set of pricing agreements Kenmare enters into with its customers. (and the small(ish?) amount of spot business they're ongoingly doing must now be an awful lot more bottom line enhancing than before)

DevonianDracula 13 Oct 2016

Q3 Fairly good production and sales volumes, but unfortunately no estimated $ value for sales. Zircon production up 48% YOY lifted by an increase in recovery rates. Also, no figures for closing cash.Production costs per tonne trending down and should be close to guidance for the full year.Mine path agreed with locals for the Monte Filipe area.Chinese spot prices up 70% which looks very positive for 2017 revenues. Progress to target stalling? I notice we are still a long way from the recent August post briefing target of 510 :Canaccord Genuity reaffirms its buy investment rating on Kenmare Resources PLC (LON:KMR) and raised its price target to 510p (from 260p).Let us hope the £ weakness helps to nudge the UK price up (for those UK tied that is!)

Re: Black Friday and Not black this Friday DD.. thankfully.. indeed it could finish up being a strong blue Friday, hopefully.. Moving nicely up in the last trading hour of week.. so far, at leastYour claret will taste lovelier again tonight!

DevonianDracula 26 Sep 2016

Black Friday and grey Monday. Still, there is no such thing as a straight line in nature. Up or down, still plenty of claret and vintage port in my cellar, and I am trying hard to make room for another 12 dozen from reserves in the spring.A hard winter ahead, as I received 12 dozen, including magnum equivalents a month ago.Now I am looking for the next ilmenite pricing news out of China, as nothing new on Ruidow for almost a month now apart from rutile, slag and the like. Just did a s small top up at 335p In anticipation of this afternoons rally ! I'm now assuming yesterdays leg up was Institutional money based and I'm standardly of the opinion that when such participation happens it happens over a period of days or longer, (hopefully ..)I'm as fully loaded up as I want to be here now and so my last top up for at least a good while here.Good luck to all holders here !
