Re: BOWOOD Hi B - apols, been away a fair bit recently and coupled with my increasing disillusionment with AIM cos in general, I have cut my losses on most of my investments, including Kln. (I remain invested in NBB).The continued lack of any detailed plans (at least in the public domain), is unsettling as we have commented on before and with concerns over how the Group are currently trading in what must be challenging times for the Sector, understandably adds to our unease. After all, most Companies are quick to trumpet any good news, so silence is anything but reassuring. The (unannounced) 'delay' in producing the awaited Results simply adds to these concerns. In all the years I have been investing, I have yet to see such an event being anything other than an indicator of poor results in some shape or form when they finally come to be made public..Investors are left to guess too often with Kln and if the awaited results are poor reflection on the BoD and how it treats (or rather ignores PI's) IMO.All the best.B

Broomfielder BR. Are you still here? If so what are your thoughts - I'm not too concerned that the results are later than last year but I do wonder if trade has improved following the rather poor set of figures at the half year and the less than optimistic forecast for the second half.

BOWOOD 14 Mar 2017

Results Last year we had them on 14 March. This week perhaps but I doubt if they will inspire.

Buy A Director buy ? Perhaps Ward?

Re: RNS Doesn't sound as if the right (or any) noises are coming from KLN at the moment.Given how illiquid this share is, the continuance of sales today may just indicate a 'leaky ship' with news in the offing.B

Re: RNS All a bit worrying really. Darby was charged with sorting Berkeley Scott London after it was restructure. He then left shortly after so perhaps BSL is in big trouble. Also Ward as CEO is not a comfort to me - both he and PB were well involved with Human Capital Resources which went into liquidation a couple of years ago. The only person I am happy with is RK and I fear he could go - he has put a lot into KLN and I wonder if he is getting the support from the controlling interest of Ward and Paul Bell.

Re: RNS Afraid I cant clarify B.However a fairly significant sale (for KLN) nonetheless and clearly given the illiquidity in these shares coupled with no update of any sort emanating from the Group, leaves it rather easy for the MM's to mark the SP down harshly.B

RNS Is this Mark Darby selling out?

broomfielder 05 Jan 2017

RNS Welcome as the shorter term debt rescheduling is, it doesnt alter the key fundamentals which I think need radical attention. These being ownership and share structure; transparency via a business plan with key performance hurdles in place both for the Group and all Executives and key personnel so that we can establish and then track the direction the Group are heading etc.At the moment it continues to stumble along with Investors operating in a fog - it has so many similarities with many other typically UK long established companies often typified by control being not broadly based enough etc. They simply seem to have lost their way and all existing and potential Investors want to know is what if any parts have a viable future. For that we also need leadership!B

PB The PB grip through related parties continues.

BOWOOD 29 Dec 2016

Re: BOWOOD Hello B and all the best for '17. I fear that KLN is a play thing for PB and I am not convinced he will get it right. He is pulling the Chairmans strings after all. My main concern is that we may well see the departure of RK who in MO has held KLN together. There has been several good years since 2010 but KLN continues to struggle under debt and really needs to improve NFI. However I feel we are going into a further challenging time - perhaps several years and I am not sure KLN will cope as a PLC. NBB is I feel a more structured operation with good management and over the next couple of years will see some benefit. KLN is more speculative IMO and may well move to the lower market. NBB under MB will or should do a lot better. I'm well into both so on balance expect to be better off in 12 months time - we shall see.GL B

BMN Paul bell has a related interest here which I do not feel is helpful.

BOWOOD Best wishes Bowood for 2017 - apologies for not responding previously but other distractions rather restricted my attention here.As far as KLN is concerned, I have to remain at best unconvinced and at worst unimpressed by their recent track record and despite attempts to glean more meaningful information on the way ahead, this has proved unproductive. From your posts B, I think you are much more familiar with this sector than I am but I cant help feeling with KLN that it lacks coordinated leadership and genuine direction. The share / ownership structure in place is definitely a double edged sword - it has saved the Group in the past but I now think it is restraining its prospects for restructure. Now that may be quite wrong, but as PI's we are starved of information which might otherwise allow us to form a different view.Although not greatly different in information flow, I feel that with NBB for example they have at least announced a framework which permits investors to gain a broad understanding of what they are trying to achieve and how they are going about getting it.I just feel that KLN investors (well PI's certainly) largely operate in a vacuum and it shouldn't be left to guesswork to attempt to guage the way ahead. I'm hoping 2017 will be better for the Sector but most research I can obtain continues to emphasise the headwinds that proved so much of a challenge in 2016, so I am not confident on how KLN can markedly improve their position albeit as I said this is without any great insight from the Group on how they are tackling their problems.Rgds.B

BOWOOD 23 Dec 2016

B I wish you well for the coming year and trust we will see some positive progress with KLN and NBB. I have been in both for too long and am determined to see a positive outcome. It can only get better, or is it less worse? GL

BOWOOD 14 Dec 2016

Boomfielder Are you still here? I am and with the year end in a couple of weeks I wonder what you may feel the results are likely to be. I think we will see further losses but they may get away with it if they can convince investors that 2017 will see a return to profit that is sustainable. Results won't be until March but There is no reason why we cannotj speculate ahead of these. NBB will also have the same year end.
