Re: Toyota and......Can#t work out if these Toyota design solid stae are lithium based?[link] Power, for now, is trying to commercialize its solid electrolyte combined with a lithium-metal anode and a more conventional nickel-manganese-cobalt lithium-ion chemistry. This design can produce an energy density increase of one-quarter to one-third at the cell level, compared to the cells in a Tesla Model S, Garrett estimated; additional gains are expected at the pack level.[link] difference between a conventional lithium-ion battery and a solid-state version is the electrolyte composition between the cathode and the anode. Conventional lithium-ion batteries use a liquid electrolyte, but require relatively large spacers between each cell (20-30 micron separators per cell). comparison, a solid-state lithium-ion battery requires just 3-4 microns for separators.[link]

Re: Hastings Announcement Morning TP,'Patiently waiting and growing old' . Ditto. Just hope I live long enough to see some of these duck eggs hatch out. With the UK Government stating last week that all new petrol and diesel cars will be banned by 2040, it should give a bit of impetus and hopefully move developments from the back burner to the front.A touch of Poldark. Interesting to watch another duck egg, Cornish Lithium in partnership with Strongbow Exploration. [link]
Re: Hastings Announcement More good news, YB. And, this time a little move further North for the sp.Just as an aside, I lifted this little gem from the "about Cadence Minerals" bit at the end of the RNS..."The combination of this approach and seeking value opportunities allows us to identify projects capable of achieving high rates of return."Made me smile, as I wondered when we might reap these high rates of return. The current projects are still so "early stage" that the visibility of revenues is virtually non existent. One could say the Kiran is getting his ducks in a row ready for the day when either revenue streams start to flow, or the asset is liquidised at a huge gain. But methinks they are just duck eggs in a nest at the moment. And it's no good lining them up.... they'll just get cold !TPPatiently waiting and growing old.
Hastings Announcement ARX Announcement this morning from Hastings.Charles Lew, Hastings Executive Chairman, said This first MOUfor an offtake agreement with Sky Rock is a significant milestonefor the Company. The high NdPr content of our ore body is gaining firm recognition in the rareearth and magnets industry.Further offtake agreements are expected to follow, which will reinforce the Companysfinancing plan to fund the development of the mine and the construction of the processingplant. The Parties have additionally acknowledged that any commercial offtake agreement iscontingent on Hastings starting operations and production of MREC from the Yangibana mine, and with any additional conditions usually included in commercial off-take contracts.Hastings estimates an annual production quantity of 15,000 tonnes of MREC, which it will sellto offtake partners, with production projected to commence in 2H 2019.[link]
Re: Bounce ? ....what bounce ? ...... Spike for same lithium reason as PREM, bouncing about likewise.
Re: Bounce ? ....what bounce ? ...... i made a about 25% from playing bounces up yesterday sold out last spike @0.56 from 0.46 looking now for it to settle and re enter around the 0.35-0.40 range. been long term holder in this so want to get back in at some point soon.
Bounce ? ....what bounce ? ...... .......the bounces, as if you hadnt noticed, are getting lower and lower spiked with time....SAGE
Re: In case you missed it ......i didnt realise until today that Kiran Morzaria is also on the board and very active in.............UKOGSAGE
Re: In case you missed it Thanks TP,A good video interview. Interesting, the side bar of video's gave a number of other video interviews I hadn't seen regarding Bacanora. It's been said by others that at todays Market Cap, Cadence is severely under valued when all the Cadence investmentsare added up. That was reiterated in the interview.[link]
Re: In case you missed it Thanks for sharing this Prior -- extremely interesting.
In case you missed it Kiran on utube [link] is why the sp has gone ballistic, I reckon, not the McArthur news on its own.TP
Re: Cadence Morning blue,Don't be downhearted re lack of SP activity for Cadence. There's a bit more activity today.I'm reassured that all of the lithium production from the Sonora Project with Bacanora is already spoken for. 100% will be taken up by Hanwa Advanced Materials, as announced by Bacanora 10th April 2017[link] at Hanwa Advanced Materials website, June 16th, I do like their terminology, ' having moved aggressively into the future car market of smart cars and electric vehicles' and their tie up with Chinese car manufacturing and VW. [June 16, 2017] Amidst the shifting paradigm in the automotive industry, Hanwha Advanced Materials has come into the spotlight having moved aggressively into the future car market of smart cars and electric vehicles. The company has already been producing battery cases to LG Electronics since last October. Hanwha has optimized sheet molding compounds (SMCs) to better protect the battery pack in the event of an impact from a collision. These batteries protected with Hanwhas battery cases are being supplied to the Chevy Bolt, GMs next-generation all-electric vehicle. Now, the Shanghai subsidiary of Hanwha Advanced Materials has won the contract to supply battery cases for the E-Lavida, an all-electric vehicle to be mass-produced starting in the second half of next year by SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co. is a joint venture between SAIC Motor Corporation Limited and Volkswagen. The deal is indeed timely in that the growth of the Chinese e-vehicle market is picking up pace.[link] Bacanora investing in the Zinwald mine near the Cinovec mine, if the Hanwa agreement proves to be good, Hanwa will be well placed for some Agreement with Bacanora for Zinwald, particularly with VW manufacturing being just 50 miles up the road. Additionally, Hanwha Advanced Materials is aggressively engaging in activities to win more orders to expand its supply of the e-vehicle battery case to global joint-ventures based in China (GM and BMW) and keep pace with the growing e-vehicle market in the country.I do like their repeated use of the word 'aggresively'.I'm in and definitely holding long term.YB
Re: Cadence Just checked the Cadence website thinking that there might actually be a flurry of excitement or beating of the drums following yesterday's national news headline but not a whisper -- what an anti climax and a lost opportunity! Poor show Cadence. I read an article but mislaid it yesterday about the phenomenal uptake of lithium in China and elsewhere which beggars the mind that Cadence have not capitalised on this surge of interest. It's not only their share price that is lack lustre!
Re: Cadence Morning blue,The SP didn't bounce yesterday possibly, just possibly, all the small PI's were at work and didn't see the news until last night. Increasin SP today. Lovely to see the Tesla battery on the outside wall of a house in the UK. The penny is starting to drop. Walk or drive down any street in the UK and see the multitude of solar panels on the roofs. The solar panel companies will have a ready made sales list of existing customers..At the moment, using an electric car to go to work without a residential battery is not so cost effective. It means you have to pay for charging at work, that is if there's a charging point, or by the time you get home the sun has 'gone in' and you have to pay for electricity off the grid. A residential battery adds value to the solar panels allowing an electric car owner the option of charging the car at night, running the home at night.or selling to the Grid. MarvelousTesla did mention a year or so ago that the greatest demand for their batteries will not be for vehicles. It will be for Residential Batteries.YB
