Re: Sells ? Shorters peelmalc, nothing else... people like cheap-champagne-woman below. Which then spooks novice pi's. But it gives others a good opportunity to top up, which I did today at 79p.
Sells ? Anyone any thoughts as to why so many folks seem to be selling ?- Am I not seeing something ?Thanks in advanceP
Re: 80 to go in kcom " and FRED (may I call you fred ? "Fred? FRED?!!No you may not call be Fred. " I thought you were too busy spouting nonsense on the globo board to be concerned about kcom too. " On another ii board (can't remember which one) I asked if LG could cast an eye over KCOM as it's been on my watchlist for a while but I was getting 32p as an ultimate low. LG's 40p has reinforced my view that KCOM won't be heading into my portfolio any time soon. I like the look of the company though so it will remain on my watchlist. Good luck all (sincerely) BillSauntering off to look at the globo board. Sounds like a glue or chewing gum company...
Re: 80 to go in kcom Oh there you are cheap-champagne-woman and FRED (may I call you fred ? Great.) I thought you were too busy spouting nonsense on the globo board to be concerned about kcom too.
Re: 80 to go in Kcom Blimey - late 2016 !!Did Fibonacci have Crystal balls ?@ 40p will be yielding ballpark 14% - that'll keep me in Tea Bags for a few months......I can only assume the charts have predicted Hull and the surrounding region explodes, and limits their phone/internet useage a tad....GLA - tin hats etcJG
Re: 80 to go in Kcom " AVOID/SELL 40p target buy...a long way off tho late 2016.. "Excellent. Thanks LG. So my 32p ultimate low wasn't a million miles out (but I'll defer to your 40p).

Re: 80 to go in Kcom Well thats 2 things you have wrong then....
Telegraph- Questor From Thursday:"KCOM profits slide but dividend holds firm: Hull-based telecoms group KCOM warned that revenue would be lower than expected for the full year, sending shares down 4.6%. KCOM said that the public sector and business communication part of the company is struggling to win enough new contracts to replace lost business and that this will hit full year revenue forecasts. Market consensus is for pretax profits to slip marginally to £48 million, on revenue of £367 million. Telecoms companies have stable revenue and cash generation as customers tend to renew fixed line and broadband packages with the same provider. That is what enables KCOM to increase the interim dividend by 10% to 1.79p per share, ex-dividend December 29 and payable February 2. KCOM is attractive to investors in no small part because it generates plenty of cash. The company made £67 million in free cash flow last year up from £46 million a year earlier meaning that the £24 million paid out in dividends was covered almost three times. KCOM at 85¾p-3¾p. Questor Says Hold. "
Re: Did you know ? That's 0.3mm and 0.5mm wire by the way - 5mm would be copper pipes Need stronger expresso......JG
Did you know ? That the first km of copper wire coming out of KCOM hull exchange is 3mm instead of normal 5mm - any new competitors would need to install expensive stuff to access est 200000 customers. I've heard of economic moats, this is a physical moat too. Hoping sp stays around here until ex div date so I can top up. With guaranteed 10% div increase until 2016 looking at 7% yield.....for a mini monopoly.....Marvellous - beats savings rates a tad...GLAJG
Re: 80 to go in Kcom there was absolutely nothing in the article that said the staff were 'critical staff across the board'. so unless you work for kcom - which i highly doubt - then you also 'know nothing'.kcom is not a growth stock its an income stock. you invest for the divis. EPS was predicted to be flat this year from last year and thats exactly what it is. so im not bothered about the drop and assuming the sp is still around the 85p mark in a few weeks i will probably top up for a nice 6 -7 % div yield.
Re: 80 to go in Kcom i am not a shorter Truegent, you no nothing, none of the 80 are call centre agents for BB, they are all critical staff across the board.....stay in your choic
Re: 80 to go in Kcom Thanks, truegent.KCOM has been on my watchlist for a while but I'm looking to get in at a lower level. The next few months look like they could be interesting.
Just bought a few more. Great yield at this level and a pretty safe bet in my opinion. Good luck all.
