Boring Is it my imagination or is this one of the most boring shares on the London market? I should have sold at £1.20 - a good argument for a disciplined ratcheted stop loss.
Re: big rollout I am still dabbling a bit in this share, mainly for the div of approx 6%. With such low returns almost everywhere that alone makes it a decent bet and remember that divi percentage is promised for at least 1 more financial year.I live in the area covered by KC, but as it's a small village it tends to be last in the queue for anything technical, but they are linking my village up to Lightspeed early next month.KC have been pumping millions into their fibre lines over the last few years and the take up has been very good.I accept that prices are high for their services (as most know they have the monopoly in the area, although that could mean that once all the fibre connections are in they would be ripe for a takeover.

Re: KCOM Yes T-D you are correct just found the information in Investors Chronicle last weeks copy I had not read it till yesterday.. Profits down and now trade on 18 times forecast earnings which they say is punchy for a company in transition ( Hold )
Re: KCOM "There appears to be no bad news that I know about so why the December fall they are not EX Div yet ."Revenues down 12 odd million and you don't consider that to be bad news! Further decreases expected over the next two years. Just hocked themselves up to the eyeballs with the banks to the tune of 180 million. They need to re-invent themselves, high risk now IMHO. Sitting on my hands till we see 85p.Ex div end December
KCOM There appears to be no bad news that I know about so why the December fall they are not EX Div yet .
December drop Any explanations to why this has dropped so much this month. Was quite steady previously
Motley Fool - buy Defensive income KCOM (LSE: KCOM) is a traditional income investment. The company provides telecoms services, a highly defensive business where income is predictable and management has a certain degree of clarity over cash flows. This outlook clarity has given management the ability to hike Kcoms dividend payout to shareholders by 10% per annum since 2012. City analysts are forecasting a dividend payout per share of 6p this year for a yield of 5.1% at time of writing. Unfortunately, Kcom has struggled to grow its earnings over the past few years, so the company might not appeal to growth investors. For 2016 City analysts are forecasting that the groups earnings per share will decline by 7%. However, over the past five years, earnings per share have remained relatively stagnant, bouncing between 7.9p and 7p as the company moves away from legacy businesses and diversifies into new growth markets. The shares do look slightly expensive as they trade at a forward P/E of 17.5 even though earnings are set to fall for the next two years.
Re: Big jump today Agree, just shows how the sp is acting over yesterdays sells percentage.
Re: Big jump today Sells? Well L2 has four big buys 7.7 million all at 115p same price as yesterdays big buys. Someone loading up methinks.
Re: Big jump today Another strange day, with high volume, mainly sells with the sp closing up.
Re: Big jump today Four million buy orders went through within minutes this morning in three trades.
Re: Big jump today And a great big drop today. Not much sense in todays markets.
Re: Big jump today Well as you know they were down to 9p at one time so they have done well to recover. Hang on in there, you may well get your wish.
Re: Big jump today Held these since they were floated at £2.59. Not happy. I have kept them in the hope of a takeover. Let's hope this is it. KCOM is supposed to be at the cutting edge of technology and so I am hoping they will be swallowed up by one of the big boys.
