Re: up over 13% before 8.20? Thanks.....Just out of interest where did you get that from as nothing on II when I posted and nothing on digital look (via Jarvis X-O own site!)PE

Re: Any reason for today's drop? Thanks.I managed to pick some up towards the close yesterday at just over 320p. So long as there is no unknown reason behind it. I remember not long ago MAR (Mar City) housebuilder dropping sharply for a couple of days for no apparent reason; the next day it was supended, never to return!
Re: Any reason for today's drop? Jarvis dropped todayWhilst it's always difficult to know why I suspect it's to do with the sale of 15022 shares that went through at 17.15 outside market hours at 310.27p on the 1st JuneMy take is that sometimes holdings are sold quickly for various reasons Ie probate etc this leaves the market maker margin to drop the price to clear the mini stock overhangFrom memory the NMS is 500 shares so 15022 is quite a chunk of stock.I think this could be a quick fall with a climb back to 340 over the next few weeksI took the opportunity to pick some up at 324p todayOf course it's only my opinion and not fac
Any reason for today's drop? Nearly 5%
Re: Solid dividend player with healthy b... Just a thought comparing JIM with HL , if JIM were on the same price/earnings ratio as HL , namely 38.04 , the share price would be £9.30 . I'll go to bed and dream now.
Re: Solid dividend player with healthy b... JIM also had £9.7m cash on the B/S as at 31 Dec and are buying back shares - thus indicating that their cash position is very strong and consider themselves under-valued. So with an already very attractive yield of 4.87% its difficult to envisage that they will get any better in value. So IMHO the downside risk is limited. Chancellor Osborne is both discouraging buy-2-let and favouring stock market investment - that should help JIM's future growth. In the short-term the stock market and economy in general is I believe being held back by the Brexit risk. However, JIM is well positioned to benefit from any post-Brexit feel-good stimulus. JIM's stars are coming into alignment.Regards Maddox
Re: Solid dividend player with healthy b... Yes you're right. I've had a heavy cold and with all the sneezing, must have blown my brains out. While paying a divi for the year of 26.5 is commendable, it would be unsustainable as eps was 24.46p. I had already worked it out to 4.85 but copied the wrong figure.
Re: Solid dividend player with healthy b... I think the dividend yield is more like 4.87%I've ignored the special dividend paid last year and taken the last years 4 payments to give a conservative estimate Agree with your point about coverag
Re: Solid dividend player with healthy balan... Compared HL with Jim on that site and Jim is better value with 7.79% dividend yield. Hampered by lack of analyst coverage for future earnings.
Solid dividend player with healthy balance sheet. At least that is the view on here [link]
