Re: Performance No change of manager that I can detect.I've been holding JII off and on for many years. As a 'chartist' I have sold at times and then bought back. The current regression does not worry me but I have stops in place ready for the forthcoming 'crash'.I won't switch, as the long term performance has been sound, especially if one can miss the deep drops. I do want exposure to India and see this as a pretty good, if volatile, option.
Performance I am a thinking about cashing this fund in having just noticed how poorly it has performed against the Indian Capital growth fund over 3 years - Is anyone else coming to this conclusion? Has there been a change of manager? Any thoughts/insights much appreciated

Re: Compare with IGC What explains the huge price rise of IGC in Aug 2014? Without that there would seem to be nothing to chose between them.
Re: Compare with IGC I have been a long term holder in JPM Indian IT and was interested in your comment. What am I missing - the charts are almost superimposed when plotted and the JPM fund has returned 33% YTD against 29% for the Indian Capital growth fund?
Compare with IGC If you are invested in here for Indian growth- you are in the wrong fund. The one to be in is the Indian Capital Growth Fund IGC, its an investment trust also..Click on charts and compare performance and you will see that IGC is performing 100% better. At the moment IGC is still undervalued at 79p having assets at about a £1.00.In my view a much better fund-have a look.
World wide investment choice Have just made liquid, a modest ISA holding. Also been on the look out for the next choice, and here I am wondering about this I. T. Am looking at a 5/7 year investment and ask for your opinions.Their fund size is £640.000000 and my understanding is that the manager receives 1.2% Or £768,000 this year. As ever we the customer/investor are n ever offered a guarantee.Could this be the One?Forward and On.
Re: Modi Have you any idea how difficult it is to get beef anywhere in India - Even Mcdonalds limits itself to checken dishes!
My mistake! Yes Mr Modi is Prime Minister, appologies. But Maharashta is not Gujarat. Mumbai is at the centre of Maharashta and to ban something like beef in such an important multi-cultural, multi-faith state is relevant and demonstrates the very strange attitude locals have to their guests.RM
Re: Modi What's bizarre about a beef ban, as far as I remember Gujarat is a vegetarian and prohibition state?
Re: Modi What makes you say that not many people like their president or are you referring the the Prime Minister MODI ? I dont think the beef ban in one state is an underlying reason to effect the Senex
Modi I sold last week as I'm in India right now and not many people here like their President. This rather bizarre beef ban in Maharashta State is just another very starnge aspect of life in what should be an advancing progressive country. The retrospective tax grab another example of their civil service being completely out of control.
