Valuation I do think the current valuation of Jay is bonkers given what we now know about the assets it is sitting on, the fact that the assets are rising in value because of the law of supply and demand, and the distinct possibility that one of the majors are likely to try to take this one out sooner if not later.
Hang on We are back at just about the level the Pru/M & G fund management group got back in, taking their stake to 12.21% of Jay, up from 9.77% previously. These guys know this sector well. They held a big chunk of Sierra Rutile when it was taken over by Iluka for £250m including debt.
sp Why the sharp pull-back today?
Finally above 26p How long will it stay above 26p? Is this the start of the climb north? Z
Re: Wow -high blood pressure Noticed bell flagging this as there best share tip .Sounded familiar Beaufort tipped it spring 2015 ( not sure if they were broker )I bought and sold it when it was Fin . ( 1.4p .. 2.42p and 2.82p )The placing 9th Dec 15 @ 100% over share price might of been a clue to hold it.Winnifred leaked the 7p placing 24 Nov 16. ( in hindsight done it no harm )Its around 26p now ( ten folder ) can not see consolidation.
Re: sp I am quite buoyed by the fact of the sp not dropping back on lack of substantial news, which seems to be the norm - classic drifting. Hovering around the 24-25p mark bodes well for the next leap upwards. One gets tired of the drifting effect only for news to lift the sp back to previous levels and basically getting nowhere. At least here, we have a chance of further gains.Anyway, I am long term holder, sitting on 30-35% gains so far and prepared to wait for stable production and huge sales.
sp Very frustrating The SP just refuses to break through the 25p barrier
Re: Titanium on US DOI Critical Minerals Lis... Article a couple of years old now. but worth a read. Apologies if it's been posted before.[link]
Titanium on US DOI Critical Minerals List [link] listed on 2018 list, both TiO2 and MetalWill boost demand for Ilmenite of our type at same time China swapping to Chloride Process.FLU.
Ilmenite price strength Originally posted by Rampair advfnBase resources results out today make happy reading for us JAYs, an extract below.A supply deficit in the high-grade feedstock sector (which includes rutile), driven mostly by the strength in the western chloride pigment sector, is resulting in continued upward price momentum. It is expected that this will translate into price gains as offtake contracts are renewed in 2018 for bulk rutile and chloride slag sales to large mainstream customers. In the absence of substantial new feedstock supply coming online, the titanium dioxide feedstock market is expected to remain in structural supply deficit, providing an opportunity for continued price strength in both ilmenite and rutile over the coming years.FLU.
RNS. All adds to confidence in this co. Another excellent RNS in as much as one of the world's major private investment companies adds to their already substantial holding. At some stage very soon (I hope) this share is going to take off.
Re: Rns An excellent share to 'tuck in the back pocket.' I'm probably maxed out on this share and prepared to sit back and wait for the big gains over the next few years. A broker rec @ 37p probably a bit out of date now.
Rns That's a massive stake they've built up in that fund...I'm sure they know more about the company than anyone posting here ... follow the money and all that...
Bought some more Followed Warren Buffett's advice to buy when all around are selling - bought another 38,000 yesterday at 20.4p. Now sitting on 170,000 of these for mid to long term growth.Yesterday generally was a great buying day if you had the spare funds. Lots of blue today.
RNS Morning!Well, if we do not get to see an RNS before the end of the next week we better make one ourselves. And besides that, happy new year all.LP
