Re: Research update It's surely only a matter of time before this breaks out and starts a slow steady climb north. I'm amazed that it's still hovering around the 24-25p range.Patience will be rewarded I sincerely hope.Z
Research update especially link 1 is very interesting:[link]
Re: Summary Article summarises the situation very well. Also, RNS out which increases their land mass for the Disko project.[link]

Re: Start of the climb north? What a difference a day makes. I feel a song coming on......24 little hours (not including the weekend)Z
Start of the climb north? Start of the climb north? Glad to see it climb after the recent drops. Z
Re: sp Wonder why the drop? Could it be that originally and very recently we were still expecting commercial production to start in 2018 and now its second half of 2019?Also, the fact of PFS and DFS feasibility studies yet to be finalised and confirmed, meaning a risk or possibility of commercial production not going ahead due to costs? However small the risks, if we still have the word 'feasibility' attached to this share then without good news it's going to drift?I don't know - clutching at straws - and given all the managed funds buying into JAY and very recent 400% increase at Dundas, seems the risks are indeed small.Maybe this will be the the small dip before the steady climb north - I certainly hope so as I now hold over 400,000 of these in a SIPP and ISA.Z
sp Quite .a large fall in the Sp today.I bought 10000 at 24.50 I believe a price of 23.80 to sell is the lowest for some time
Re: more news The ALBA-related news is here:[link] sure if the GEUS report is also publically availiable, but I'll look for. And if so, post here.
Re: more news It would be helpful to you if you could source the GEUS report from last year. It is possibly up on the header of JAY on the advfn board. __________ __________ __________ __________ __________ __________ _______I'm not sure what "GEUS" means: Do you speak about the "Greenland geological survey" report??IF yes: I'm up on this.Because interests me as JAY holder, but also as I've a lillte eye on ALBA. As JAY "side"play. If it should lead to something relevant, I'll post here.
more news I hope that this helps you zely. There was a placing in February when institutions took up shares at 22 pence. £17 million was raised. There is no problem in financing the Dundas; yes there is infrastructure to build including accommodation but the costs of production are less than other sands mines. Money could also be available from off take agreements which are in discussion at present. With regard to replenishment of sands, these originate from the glaciers above and gather at Iterlak (hence the greater purity) and then spread to the other beaches. It would be helpful to you if you could source the GEUS report from last year. It is possibly up on the header of JAY on the advfn board.
Re: More news Agree, re: risks - but some more risky than others - it's grading the risk factor from a combination of knowns, unknowns, quality of management, director buys, nature of product, potential mine life, and I suppose, 'gut feeling.' Rod McIllree said something about 15 million in the bank and second half of 2019 for production. He also stated that he believed this to be one of the most financially efficient on the market, in getting the stuff processed. Broker forecast of 47p great, but you can take these forecasts with a pinch of salt. A bit disappointed they didn't respond the my question about "ilmenite resource increases seasonally." To me, that statement screams out to be questioned, yet nobody supplied an honest and clear answer. That, in combination with other factors is holding me back from investing more at the moment.Z
Re: More news Huge risks involved in investing in any mining share
Re: More news Yes, news must certainly flow over next few months. Watched the Rod McIllree Proactive Investors youtube video - Talk of PFS and DFS (feasability studies still to come. A PFS means that an assessment hasn't been concluded as to a project's viability. Basically, in layman's terms, does this mean that production may not happen due to costs? You see this with gold mining - they talk of millions of dollars worth of gold just waiting to be mined but the reality is that it costs too much to process so remains under the ground. So still huge risks associated with investing on JAY.Z
More news I expect more news to come over the next weeks e.g. EIA SIA DFS possible offtake agreements and application for the exploitation permit to be lodged.
