British Airways A bit of real news to break up the doomy SP. I see several technology sites reporting today that BA has launched in flight wifi. Only on 3 planes for now but growing to 118 over the next 2 years. At £4.99 or £7.99 an hour depending on bandwidth.I believe it's powered by Inmarsat. Hopefully it's the thin end of the larger profit margin wedge.

Re: Nuts SP It seems 440 is becoming more likely than I thought a fortnight ago and that 470 was has proved rather lenient. Having now topped back up I'd quite like to see this pull out of the worst rate of descent we've seen since early December. It is disconcerting to see Numis' 400 target hoving back into view.

Re: Nuts SP I think 'play' is the operative word.I did have a 472 limit order set which obviously didn't trigger on Friday. The sp seems to have bounced back up from 475 fairly convincingly so it may not now revisit the top-up prices I'd find attractive. The good news is that the underlying trend, whilst not spectacular, is upwards since mid-December. If I had no ISAT or if my average holding sp was still high- say above 550 - I'd be buying at the moment but the current lows represent only a marginal value improvement or trading opportunity for me, especially as I guess there could still be an unexpected plunge back down to bargain basement levels.

Re: Satisfactory Satisfactory:Well, much as I'd have liked this to fly on the bid speculation (or whatever the story was), I'll take plan B and top back up as it's retraced to within 10p of the buy target that I set on the 17th. You don't often get a second bite at the cherry. I'm not ramping, btw, as I haven't yet bought - waiting to see what happens in the silly hour.

Re: Satisfactory Now that makes more sense. I would expect the maritime business to have picked up after a little dip in the last results due to the current period of synchronised growth.

A claim and an opinion are two quite different things.BB's provide an opportunity to share opinions about price but, as you rightly say, they don't influence it in the slightest. There's not much other point to them.Whilst the price is moving downwards (as it is right now) there tends to be more interest in where it might land. The reverse becomes the case when it rises.504 (hit today) was a fairly easy target to spot so not worth mentioning. The question is whether it will mark the bottom - I suspect not.The long term 'top' is so far off as to be of little immediate interest - above 1200 seems plausible. To that extent I'd agree with your figures but it's not of much practical help in assessing a buy point today.

Re: Satisfactory I presume you have some additional company information to back up your claim of a retrace to 470? Do update us....If not, then are you trying to talk the price down to acquire more? It doesn't work my friend, the big boys pay no attention to discussion boards.So, I'm working on the basis that this might well make 1000, with 1500 seeming less likely in my view.
