Re: Morning Worcester,Very good news with this RNS. Made me wonder if it's your namesake Worcester Bosch who are involved. If Inspirits Technology is as good or better than existing heating technology, with volume production bringing down costs, Inspirits technology stands a chance of being the norm incorporated in to the majority of future heating production for little extra expense to the consumer. Rather quiet but, edging up slowly.G.L.A.
The domestic version will generate .. ... 2KW of electricity and, by the sound of it, be significantly cheaper than the 3KW output version. I use nowhere near 2KW of electricity so my return from the FiT could be very significant. It will be interesting to see the price of the domestic unit. If the expense, relative to returns from the FiT and savings (because of the energy efficiencies built into the unit), can be justified, I'll certainly be looking at buying one.IMHO, depending solely upon price, the two models give Inspirit a great opportunity of mass-market appeal.Let's see the prices chaps !GFD
Today's RNS 8 January 2015Inspirit Energy Holdings plc(" "Inspirit", "Inspirit Energy" or the "Company"Product Announcement on Inspirit's mCHP Boiler-GeneratorInspirit Energy (LSE AIM: INSP) announces that it has committed to the development and production of a new 2 kilowatt ("kW" electrical output version of the Inspirit mCHP boiler-generator for the domestic market to complement the larger 3 kW electrical output version currently being built for the SME market. The significance of this decision is to significantly increase the market potential of Inspirit's product range by offering an appliance that is suitable for the larger domestic sector that can qualify for the current UK Government Feed in Tariff ("FiT". The new smaller 2 kW electrical output version will be launched soon after the release of the 3kW electrical output version which is currently being assembled and prepared for advanced field trials at a number of UK Utility and SME sites. The 3 kW output version is aimed at the SME market and it's main feature is the payback achieved by the use of the power in a commercial enterprise hence off-setting the purchase cost, whereas the 2 kW version, which will be Microgeneration Certification Scheme ("MCS" approved, will achieve similar payback potential at lower running hours and take full advantage of the current benefits under the existing FiT schemes. The Company is currently establishing and looking to expand its third party production capabilities with local and international manufacturing companies and is now committed to the fulfilment of significant volumes over the next 5 years. To support this, the Company has commenced extensive marketing activities to reach potential domestic customers who would be attracted by the 2kW version and the potential short payback times achieved via the FiT. John Gunn, the Company's CEO, commented:"Through this commitment of developing and offering a further more versatile version of Inspirit's unique boiler-generator at such an early stage of the technology's commercialisation, Inspirit is demonstrating its intent to provide an attractive alternative to the 1 kWe appliances that the market place is currently being offered. Economically the benefits of two to three times the electrical output of competitor's products and the existing FiT allowances should offer more significant payback opportunities to customers with much higher electric output. The current independent forecasts for increased sales of mCHP products throughout Europe, particularly in the UK at the expense of heat only generating gas boilers over the next 10 years, indicate that with the right products on offer Inspirit will be well placed to take advantage of this increasing and significant market."The Inspirit mCHP micro co-generation boiler:Inspirit's new washing machine-sized mCHP boiler-generator is one of the industry's most powerful and energy efficient mCHP appliances for its size with simultaneous generation of up to 15 kW of thermal output and up to 3 kW of electrical output. This will now be joined by a 2 kW output MCS approved version to take advantage of a much bigger potential domestic market. The appliance's patented engine will take the waste heat from the boiler and convert it efficiently in to electricity; first supplying your own property and feeding surplus electricity into the National Grid. Inspirit's Development Partners:The Inspirit mCHP boiler-generator consists of 4 key systems, each of which has been designed with the help of engineering partners: Adigo has been instrumental in advising on the remodelling of the original heaterhead and regenerator components of the Stirling Engine design (Inspirits proven prototype) for the final appliance. GE Precision are a key partner in developing and manufacturing the internals of the Stirling Engine with FEA analysis of the Crankcase, Piston and Rhombic Drive Assembly that converts th
Looks like someone needed £3k ... .... urgently, selling 333,334 - shame they had to spoil it with the last digit ! Just five days to go ! Don't panic ! That's five days to the AGM, not Christmas Day. Still plenty of time for shopping .... unless it's a £3K bargain that just has to be snapped up.GLAGFD
Field Trials IMHO what are now being heralded as field trials are, in fact, customer trials - the tooling for the final design of the mCHP is already underway so it is unlikely that there is going to be any (if any) significant change to the model's design that goes into production. If the current customer trials are favourable, that will result in firm orders being placed by those testers and other customers will happily buy the unit with confidence once details of the savings, both in terms of energy consumed (relative to output) and carbon emissions, are published.I expect the good news to be announced at the AGM will be that they are going into production with firm orders already having been received from the early testers. They may even give details of how the design of the unit has been improved upon, following those early trials, along with details of the savings achieved by the earlier model and projections for savings resulting from the improvements made to the final design. Not long to go.GFD

Barchester Healthcare are a strong and growing organization, building 14 new homes over the last two years and embarking on a programme of updating existing homes.Following on from initial site surveys of several Barchester Healthcare Care homes, Meadow Beck Care Home in York with 60 beds has been selected for the field trial. The Inspirit Energy micro-CHP unit will operate at near full utilization throughout the year, thus delivering maximum benefit. The Inspirit micro-CHP appliance will be installed to operate in tandem with the existing system to demonstrate controls integration and optimization as well as to prove the performance efficiency and the cost savings potential of the product.Ben Collard, Energy and Environment Manager at Barchester Healthcare, commented;"Barchester Healthcare is constantly modernising and upgrading our Care homes to include the most efficient, low carbon and renewable technologies to allow us to deliver the best care to our residents whilst delivering cost savings and carbon reductions. To this end we are happy to participate in the Inspirit Energy field trials to assess the performance and cost saving potential of this mCHP technology when installed in a Barchester Care home."John Gunn, Inspirit Energy's CEO, comment, "Along with the Caring homes agreement, this latest agreement with Barchester Healthcare gives Inspirit Energy a great opportunity to introduce its micro-CHP product into the Nursing home and Healthcare sector in the UK, and to demonstrate the products flexibility and cost savings potential." About Inspirit Energy Holdings plc: Inspirit Energy Holdings plc, is developing and commercialising a highly efficient micro combined heat and power (micro-CHP) boiler for the commercial and residential markets. The boiler is specifically designed to meet the challenge of reduced carbon energy supply and is capable of running on natural gas, LPG and Bio Fuels. The appliance produces hot water (for tap water or central heating) and electrical output simultaneously. The installation can be of single or multiple configuration and its high operating efficiency together with the offset of electricity costs provides a very attractive investment payback proposition. Inspirit intends to explore opportunities to licence out the underlying technology and the Directors believe that in some instances, the patents owned by Inspirit may be also used in the development of products other than a micro-CHP appliance. A prototype of the appliance has been independently tested and shown to be capable of simultaneous generation of up to 15kW thermal and up to 3kW electrical output. Once development of the appliance has been completed and commercialised, the Directors expect that the appliance will initially be marketed in the UK and Europe and eventually worldwide. Additional revenue streams may be possible through product licensing, sales of warranties and further development of the product. Re: Topped up We're not going to see any profits before they go into commercial production of the units, yb, but I'm glad to see that funding is being kept "in house". Our friend DL has provided a loan facility (if required) at 6% while others seem to be happy to take shares in lieu at upto 1.4p per share on conversion. That (1.4p) ought surely be the base from which the sp should be working; early-days funding was at twice that amount (2.8p).No one's going to let this fall for want of cash. The mere fact that they've now settled upon the design of the unit and are tooling-up for production suggests that all has gone well with the field trials. I'd like to see the mini unit ... perhaps when I'm next in Sheffield. Personally, I'd trade space for one of those in my kitchen with e.g. a dishwasher any day of the week. They produce enough how water and electricity to be able to heat and supply hot water and electricity for any house's needs AND return over-production of electricity back to the national grid. I wonder what they will retail at ? It would be nice to think that the Government would offer incentives to individuals to buy them (as they did with condensing boilers some years ago) because of their low (tiny) carbon emission ... very "Green" !I think good news will be released at the AGM. Updates on the field trials and perhaps an indication as to how soon they expect to go into commercial production. We're teamed-up with some big names in the industry and I imagine they'll participate in any placing to get full scale production under way by Malvern, if necessary. Win-win for them to do so.Roll on 23rd December !GFD
Re: Topped up At first sight GFD, you spoke too soon. Losses announced. However, that was for the year ending last June and there was a fair lump as a goodwill write down. There's a lot happened since which may be included in an update at the AGM. The only way is up from here on me thinks ( hopes )YB
Topped up My Buy showing as a Sell strangely enough. AGM approaching (expecting good news since it's only two days before Christmas day) - Results out any time soon which should show how the field trials are progressing. GFD
