Re: slight recovery No idea either but three more days like today and those who bought in at the IPO would be back to par.

slight recovery Still in the red though. I can't make head nor tail of the RNS's in terms of understanding the current position of our major shareholder. Any brighter people able to decode for me?

Re: Re: Returning to private ownership would crystallise the losses of anyone who bought at IPO and is still holding. Wouldn't be my biggest loss ever but the manner of it would grate a bit. C'est la vie!

Re: Re: I can't see any official shorting on the short tracker I use. Institutions hold about 20% of the shares. According to the FT over the last few months, institutions have bought and sold but overall they have sold about 1-2 million more than they bought, which would be enough to pull it down a bit. Main buyers were AXA and Ruffer, main sellers Standard Life and Massachusetts Financial Services.Good buying opp here I think. Market hates uncertainty even when most of the likely outcomes are positive. Same happened with Vodaphone - whether or not they would sell the Verizon stake. Sent the price of VOD down even though a resolution either way was a positive. With Terra Firma having such a large stake, it's quite possible the company will be taken back into private ownership IMO. I do not see them drip selling 70% of the stock onto the market.

Re: Re: The trades for this afternoon, after the buying dried up, seem to show that the market makers do not want to hold stock. The spread widened considerably as the price slumped even though the shares offered were in small lots (sub-1000).I know that TF is trying to dump its 70% holding. Does that mean that the shorters have their teeth into this one?On my watch-list... and very grateful that I sat on my hands mid-morning!MW

Re: Re: The price soon retreated after my jinxed post! The potential dividend ought to be attractive, so why is TF unable to offload?

Brown Bull 28 May 2015

Re: Re: Terra Firma's declared intention to dispose of their 70% shareholding is a dead weight on the Infinis share price. I don't see any likelihood of a substantial price recovery until this question is resolved.Meanwhile, if the dividend is sustained next year, we are talking about a 10% yield.

Re: Ten more days like today (as at 13:30) and i'll be back at break-even - like most who still hold original stock.

Profits in the black, must be time for some upward movement in the share price.

Re: Established income payer with good f... Me also, cut my losses a couple of weeks ago, had great expectations for these, good luck to those still in.

Re: Established income payer with good futur... I have been in from the launch. The forecast div is 18.3p (perIPO doc) and this gives a fabulous yield. The BIG problem is that Terra Firma, who sold around 30% to mugs like me at 260p, have put their remaining holding up for sale. This is the reason "News" is full of dealing info every day. As far as I can see no one is showing any interest. Obviously, don't know how much trouble TF is in and how desparate to sell. The great danger, albent, is that if(when?) someone buys they will be obliged to offer that price to us. They may well tell us that they will withdraw the quote. We are then in a position of discomfort where the wisest thing will be to take the money and run. I don't think the SP will move much until the "for sale" sign disappears. If TF merely fail to sell, suspicion as to their intentions will remain. My lesson is to take careful note of who is selling what when the next tempting IPO comes along. At 260p I saw a 7% yield and "good prospects". Now I am facing a capital loss and hoping it won't be too big.

Established income payer with good future prospects, but with dubious financial health. Interested to hear peoples opinions on Infinis Energy (INFI): [link]
