Re:ilika missing a trick with smartphones? techno foxhow stupid of me to have missed what could be to Samsung the most important advantage of al,l using this new combination battery technology with a low power MIP's chipset the ilika batteries are solid state and made using gas process and so cant explode and so could safely be carried on a planes whilst the main battery is switched off however it would still be able to send and receive messages on the small low power ilika batteries, and who knows if this technology had been in the Samsung smartphone that exploded, because this combination reduces the always on build up of heat as the main battery is always on, the Samsung exploding battery problem might never have happened.sorry for over looking this what might just become a killer advantage in the smartphone war battle ground.just to remind the IMG management ARM directors read all my posts as well? so you might want to pull your figure out on pushing this idea to other OEM's?have a nice day all

ilika missing a trick with smartphones? Techno fox I have been following the work and technology of Ilika, why cant these small low power batteries be used to replace the need for chipsets like the Arm little big chipset in the smartphones market, their is no reason that I can see that this smaller battery cant be used in combination to the main smartphone battery to handle the always on functions that require a long battery life using very little power. In technology it is not just coming up with a new technology sometimes it is about thinking outside of the box to use the existing technology in a new way that has been overlooked, you might know of Arm's little big mobile chipset designed to reduce the battery load whilst the smartphone is not being used to do high battery load work, Arm came up with a way to do this by redesigning its chipset so that a lower power ARM chipset would handle the always on smartphone load expanding the smartphone battery life, with me so Far?hich has produced it first small low power solid state lithium battery targeted at the internet of thing space, this battery technology will one day be targeted at smartphones and cars, but ilika has only targeted t at IOT devices, this battery is remarkable since it has a ten year life span, and it can be fully charged in just 15 minutes it is designed to work with a very low power chipset, it can also be changed by movement or solar cells, i wonder yet if you nowhere i am going with this yet, well it just came to me with the right very low power chipset (mips) combined with this battery combined with or without energy harvesting technology, could this battery be used in combination with the main smartphone battery to eliminate the need for ARM little big chipset, plus this would also leave the main smartphone battery capacity fully charged and untouched and giving more battery life for high end graphics. These batteries are stackable and so more capacity could easily be added if more power is required from this new patented technology.

But here comes another [link] on IKA, they're catching up TP

Satki3 dead So the Dyson/Satki3 project is dead. Bad news for mankind, good news for IKA who seemed to be lagging behind. But, no longer ! Go to the top of the class Ilika ))[link]

Fascinating RNS Ilika is now benefitting even more from Toyota's involvement. Working with top line researchers and academics with artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop novel new materials. Our little company is truly moving in fascinating directions. Might not be the most dynamic share price but longer term this is surely going to be a great company to be invested in.

RNS - USA patent good news but it takes sooooo long to get a patent in the US.....

Re: Ops update Sorry, guys, been out of reach for a couple of hours. I'm tending towards GN's view. There's absolutely no reason for fall except that people are selling to try to capitalise on other opportunities which are more near term.I said last year that anything below a pound was cheap. I'm still of that view taking into account al the grant funding and the quality partners. The IoT battery potential alone is huge and the revenue stream modelling works for me.Top up time!TP

Re: Ops update Price has dropped because of the impression given that revenue may be deferred a little due to ongoing negotiations - as far as i can see that is the only reason - nothing has changed beyond that. Revenue will be growing.I have topped up twice this morning - around 42p - i think the fall has been overdone and this still has a very high potential for those with a little patience. The clients/partners Ilika are working with/for are major global players. Toyota and Seagate. What more can we ask for.

Re: Ops update Possibly the market was just expecting better news than this?...

Re: Ops update so what is the reasoning behind the tanking SP then?any ideas Prior?

Re: Ops update Yes, appears good news but the share pice has dived??? Is it a buying opportunity or is there some bad news buried away?Reynard

Re: RNS Nice to see the sp back over 50p at long last. Doesn't seem that long ago since we were around £1. Maybe we'll be back there soon if the hard drive research comes off !TP
