Re: Some more insight..ps Fundamentally they are into materials research, using a pateneted process for rapifly generating new substances/alloys?. These batteries and things may or may not come to something -- we have to accept that the incumbent manufacturers of the existing kit will defend their positions. Then there are questions like is Honda really behind the project, or are they just going to let it languish while they go down the lithium route.? Their investment in Ilika's development is absolutely small change for them, and if a key executive leaves and the project dies the death from their end we may not even know for a year.Lot's of risk, imho, so I'm not holding my breath, nor am I betting anything serious.But they are a nice British tech leader ...

Re: Some more insight..ps I think there’s a fundamental problem here because the company is a university spin off the guys still think they’re in student/professor mode. There is no sense of commercial urgency. Getting products to market is just as important as the R&D.TP I wonder what’s prompted today’s little surge?

Re: Some more insight Agree, the price tends to drop when there is a shortage of , well a lack of news, but saying that if there is strength in the company and it's products, there are always investors wanting to get on board.Trouble is some investors tend to get impatient, wanting quick results and profits, for me, I'm more than happy to wait for the company to progress, and give me a good return on my investment.The reality is, even if the share price moves up just 2% or 3%, it's a better return that you would get in any of our banks.In my opinion the key to this company is providing smaller batteries for electric cars, reducing the weight, and in doing so achieving better mileage per charge.Good luck
