Pending Volatility This last Quarter since the Trump election has been terrible for volatility. These highs always come down at some point Of course the FCA Restrictions are going damper profits at IG. however I do personally approve of them at heart. This is despite that IG now take up a sizeable portion of my stock holding. Double edged sword however, I think IG are better geared for expensive legislative changes. It might put some of the smaller Spread-betters out of business. I highly doubt IG would suffer the same fate with it's expanding diversification & global functions. In that respect, It might even help them gain market share. They have invested significant amount of money in developing their IT Infrastructure, which was always a key metric that I began investing in IG back in 2012. Working within IT myself, I praise those who spend more on Developers than Middle Managers Oxtrader.

Re: Share buy sorry that should read 15% not 23%Interesting that they increased the number of clients by 13% so there doesn't seem to be a deterrent in terms of adding new customers and there are more just buying in to standard brokerage, although this is accepted as lower margin, at least it's steadier business.Games -- The divi cover is still a bit light though.
Re: Share buy "Market does not like the Results"Soi -- indeed, but looking at them, they look OK -- all the regions except the UK were satisfactory. the UK was down on a very good equivalent noisy period last year. The 23% drop looks worse than it is in on the norn.

Am liking this more and more As we approach resistance again after a series of higher lows This very long triangle ( ascending more or less ) should breakout nicely .If we get a breakaway gap then that is your hint of direction and without a throwback I suspect the rise will perform well . Am still long with all my 3 out of 4 positions . Will add the 4th on clear breakout then am fully loaded and on our way to 6/7/800p . No reason to set a target , just will follow price trending with a trailing stop .
Re: Pen. Hey P.Am in the Idea Store right now . Half way through the brick of the MTA 2 . Thanks for your input and help. Much appreciated . I start mocks as soon as tonight as questions really boost my learning . I agree with your method . I was getting in excess of 90% on level 1 mocks . I thought that was good . Exam day dropped about 10% . So now am going to study harder and get more mocks and as close to 100% as I can as inevitably the exam will drop 10/15% . They make them harder in my view. Still people chat even in the quiet labs - insane . Hopefully one day I will move out of London , it's so uncivilised. Back to study now
Re: Pen. On study locations, have you tried the Idea Store Canary Wharf? It's at Churchill Place E14 5RB.Phone 020-7364 4332It seems to be a Tower Hamlets Council library resource. Might be worth checking out. Might be a quiet corner there somewhere.
Re: Pen. Hi OneIf you're doing mocks, make sure you put yourself under exam time pressure.I'm not sure I'm right, but I think the CMT2 has 170 questions to complete in 4 hours 15 mins. So that's 1.5 minutes per question. When doing the STA Pt1, I found that their 1 minute per question was actually quite a long time. I practiced timing myself answering the multiple choice questions in the study guide for Murphy. The other reason I realised that it was good to practice under time pressure was that time really screws with the brain, and I ended up doing stupid things in my practice sessions just because of the time pressure. After a few practices, things come back under control again. The other approach I practiced was to check all four answers, select three I thought were wrong and ONLY then, look again at the fourth answer to see if I thought it was right. So three wrong, one right rather than just picking the one I thought was the obvious right one.Pen
Re: Pen. Hi PenCurrently in Canary Wharf. Yup MTA level 2 will be the hardest exam I have done in years. Loads of formulas and loads of indicators to remember . I will start some mocks soon to see what I have retained. Really hard to find a spot to study and focus in peace . That is a big problem Many people really should just flick through the book to see that they wouldn't stand a chance of passing it. So many think TA is knowledge of a couple of patterns and some fancy candle names lol. How misguided and far from the depth of the program. We learn an infinite about of strategies , how indicators are built etc etc Back to work
