Re: IFL production and sales news this year? Every time the sp hits a new low I am amazed and perplexed that so few people see the value in this company but it does seem to continue to find new lows.I agree with Madoff that the company appears to be well managed, their reports don't seem to be 'spun'.However, the sp won't go up until there's a new commodities boom as management can't really do much more to lower costs. This year should be the first profitable full year in a long time so there should be some uptick. What keeps me in the share is the fact that, despite the difficulties, management is planning for expansion. If the completion of the expansion and commodities boom coincide this share will rocket but that's several years off. In the mean time, I just say to myself "it's only a paper loss until I sell", sigh.(oh, and of course, buy, buy, buy)
phil mccaviti and all/ I know how you feel. This is my second worst performing share and don't blame you for bailing. To be honest thought about cutting losses myself several times, but I'm still here.I think its because as I've said before I like the management and have confidence in their abilities even when they have set backs.Over the years they have bought shares in the company too and although not huge amounts still gives me a faint hope that we have a future. The Chinese market is a worry, but management has been quick to find new customers and so hope this will off set any decline. How low will this share go...? how long is a piece of string...! never thought it would go this far down,so 'only know's.......Wouldn't be at all surprised if it went sub 2p now and if it does I'll probably top up-agai
IFL production and sales news this year? I held IFL shares a few years ago but decided enough was enough and bailed out at a loss. The shares now appear to be nearer the bottom than I have ever seen them. If I were to buy back in now at less than 3p a share, what is the schedule for release of news about production and revenues in 2015? Has the company been operating normally for the last couple of months? When can I expect to get up to date information about IFL's production figures since 1st December and sales revenues in 2015?Thanks in advance.Phil
daressaalam/ Dare I say-all we need is a rising FE price...!My worst performing share after POLO and one of my largest too, down 75%.Ouch...!That said I do rate the management and there efforts to lower production costs etc and they have bought shares in the company consistently over the years-hope that continues.Sub 3p share price..? If you've got the money, the time and the balls,is this a steel.....? (haha)and only 500m shares in circulation and a pretax profit if I'm right in saying.Chasing Indian and Korean markets was a great foresight by management.Fingers crossed.Madoff jnrps notice how AIM market falls when FTSE rises and visa vers
Re: sp MadoffMy comfort zone, down 50%, was breached when the sp dropped below 32, and that wasn't yesterday. Closed my eyes and stuck the pin in, came out with more of these at 5.8p, and that wasn't yesterday either. But I believe, I hope.
sp If you think the company's prospects will improve, that production will continue to increase and therefore profits,at this level the shares are a give away.My problem is I'm already highly exposed to this share and showing a substantial loss (85%) so another investment would send me over my comfort zone. That said-going to watch these like a hawk and as another poster said 'like the management'Good luck
Re: Melt Down ? Although the sp has collapsed(again) and looking at it from its high a few years back its been a dismal share to be in. The BOD however seem very transparent and are quick to inform shareholders, they have also really been up against it on all fronts of late from global events to the putty in the co-gen. Any cost savings by the company is just swallow up by the shambles that is Eskom and been in SA in general doesn't help as they seem to have a meeting about a meeting about a meeting. Having said that though I'm drawn to IFL like a moth to a light, because I can't help thinking that in a few years time this sp will be many multiples of what it is now.
Re: Melt Down ? Yup, just when you thought it couldn't go any lower. How many times have we thought that over the years?
Re: Melt Down ? Both furnaces should be working as per last RNS on the subject, nothing's been said to think otherwise.
Re: Melt Down ? I had presumed this fall was due to the poor growth forecasts coming out of China. I also hold EMED which also had a bad day.
Melt Down ? Over 20% down today - are the furnaces still operational ?
