BA STRIKE BA Needs to settle strike now as this has gone on for a long time now...[link]
NOT JUST FOOD [link] Carried 100 million passengers in 2016Consumers value what they get from BA. If they didnt, you wouldnt have customers or see the numbers growing. Sales on board have been well in excess of what we expected.
CORPORATE GREED AT ITS WORSE - WALSH PAY £8.8 MILLION Having been a shareholder for a number of years, I must express my utter disgust and contempt for Walsh and the excessive corporate greed. Newly recruited cabin crew take home £1100/month, and after rent of £600/month, clearly this is disgraceful behaviour from the board. It simply leads to industrial action.

Re: Very Strange Of course it isn't. I suspect fuel cost is posing significant uncertainty to management; hence Willie's cautious outlook a couple of months ago. Looks like the benefits from low oil - only now factoring in to the equation due to hedging commitments - might well be overtaken by the drop in Sterling/euro verses the dollar costed fuel. This is a great airline with top notch management. I'd much rather be here than with the budget crowd facing the shrinking spend with their pounds in Europe.
Very Strange Can see why we are not seeing a steady rise in this stock to pre brexit levels. fundamentals seem good, positive broker note from Deutsche Bank and my wife who is senior cabin crew says the long haul flights are full to the rafters. surely taking free food and plonk from the short haul routes can't be the rea
Re: Interesting snippet in The Times tod... While you can still get 394p per share.
Re: Interesting snippet in The Times today Not looking bright for IAG. Best to sell now I think.
Interesting snippet in The Times today Robert Lea in his Business Commentary column links recent visits by IAG brass to Norway as possibly related to Norwegian, the successful independent low cost long haul carrier.
New Easyjet??? Seems to me that with Norwegian ever expanding, BA as a Premium airline have made a bit of a faux pas with their decision to offer limited hot meals, and for a "second"service, only give a choice of a Mars bar, Bounty or Maltese's, all of which are miniatures!Apparently the payload is calculated for 1 per customer, but because they are offered by the basket, the crew are powerless to stop people taking more than one.Whereas I don't fly for the food, I do expect value for money. So are BA going to drop their prices to reflect this? I imagine paying £2k for a Premium Economy seat, to be told you only get a Mar Bar instead of a snack. Especially if you can drink as much as you like - or will that be rationed as well?Airline needs to make it's mind up where it wants to be in the market - top or competing with Ryanair!!!Thoughts welcome, as the negative sentiment could reflect on the share price.
drop yesterday Does anyone know what caused that big drop yesterday? I noticed my Ryanair was down by the same amount but I couldn't find any media comment as to why. Dave
Very interesting comment by Willie Looks to me from what he says in the outlook - "This is on top of very significant fuel cost reductions as our historic hedges unwind" - that even after a year or so of historic low oil prices, the company has yet to enjoy the benefit. Such is the lag in their hedging programme. And good news when those prices do kick in, whatever the US$ exchange at the time.
