Re: Action required Sorry, correcting that, $CAN 1.95 at today's exchange is £1.114. Don't know where I got $1.96 from.
Re: Action required No, the offer was only cash as specified. If you don't inform III to accept by their deadline, the shares will remain on their books in your name and be available to trade until Delek apply to have IAE delisted. They will be quoted on Toronto and AIM until they are permitted to delist. .In any case Delek's deadline for their offer is next Thursday, and until someone asks for a suspension they should continue trading, and you are free to make whatever deal you can. Talk to III about that, or a broker if you know one. There could be a fall off in Offer price as they become illiquid.Delek's $CAN 1.96 works out to about £1.12 at today's exchange
Action required Message received by III, is that I need to inform them on what I want to do with my shares. Which means let them know I will take the cash. What would happen if I do nothing? Is there another option, i.e: Take purchasing company shares?
Re: Willing acceptance? Hi maproom i agree with your comment on HL .. but you pay for that with there much higher fees.Do you know what the £ equivalent of offer is ? And if they send the money in $ and the brokers do the exchange at whatever rate they offer ?
Re: Willing acceptance? "My understanding is they needed 75% and have 70% so have extended the offer. Is this correct?"According to the most recent statement on the Ithaca website, 70.3% have accepted the Delek offer, and Delek now own 76%. I assume they owned some before making the offer. It also says "As required by securities laws, the Offer is being extended for a mandatory extension period until 17.00 (Toronto time) on 3 May 2017."

Re: Willing acceptance? I just rang HL to ask about the absence of a dark blue icon. The guy on the phone didn't actually admit it was missing, but seemed unsurprised by my complaint, and took my instruction over the phone.I have always noticed that at HL (unlike some rival companies) the phone is always answered by someone with a brain, not just a script.
Re: Willing acceptance? Hargreaves Lansdown message states 'click on your Vantage SIPP and then click on the dark blue icon next to your Ithaca Energy Inc holding and follow the on-screen instructions provided.'I can't see any dark blue icon. Anyone done the deal with H-L?
Re: Willing acceptance? Reading back, I meant to refer to the board recommendation (rather than investor acceptance). Anyway, done now although the RNS' aren't entirely clear to me around available choices. It sounds like determined investors can elect not to sell although presumably they run a risk of being in an illiquid or delisted investment (been there, done that with Petrolatina Energy and got an eventual sale after about 5 years so would not recommend to anyone who wants control of their own money).
NEW ARTICLE: The Oil Man: Oil price, Amerisur, Ithaca Energy "WTI $50.27 -17c, Brent $52.99 +6c, Diff -$2.72 +23c, NG $3.16 -3cThe news was fairly good yesterday, but despite that, crude oil trade was lacklustre. Both the Saudis and the Kuwaitis suggested that production cuts should be 'prolonged', but ..."[link]
Another giveaway.... Another disappointing example of how we live in such a short term world. The worst thing is that it is another example of directors making a short term gain or showing that they do not have the company's long term shareholders at heart (my opinion based on facts in the market place!). Unfortunately so many examples of this are starting to make me realise the capitalist world as we know it is in doubt (Probably sooner than we think). Time to move on. Good luck all.
Delek Takeover Offer - Tender Conditions Satisfied What a ride started buying here in the 30's even caught a few at 18p but I guess this takeover was inevitable. Sold half of mine at 117p and then who would have thought the exchange rate would have turned this way!Great contributors on here over the past couple of years or so and thanks to all of them.Good luck with your future investments!
Re: Above offer price? If the pound carries on going up, if this takeover goes through will it be one of the first where shareholders actually get a negative premium to the shareprice on the day the offer was announced ??
Re: Above offer price? well we will know tomorrow. I cannot believe for one moment the institutions will sell at this price.
Above offer price? At the current exchange rate it looks like Ithaca is just above the offer price now.. Does that mean people in the know have got wind of the bid failing ?
