Interesting AGM Statement Seems like a pretty positive AGM statement this morning. Also, good that they are addressing the central overhead level. If HVN can start to leverage better profitability from their strong turnover, the share price ought to respond positively. I wonder if DBAY has had any influence yet? It seems like they might.
Re: Why the big drop to-day I wonder It has gone ex-dividend and this share has a very generous dividend. The market is being efficient for once...
Why the big drop to-day I wonder See subject
Re: Is something about to Happen Another very large trade went through before lunch today. Could be DBAY again collecting more shares. I'm surprised that this hasn't risen a little more just on pure speculation.
Is something about to Happen Over one million shares traded so far to day ie in first 20minutes or so !!
Small Contract Win [link] price has been ticking up nicely lately too.

Re: Interesting Another big trade went through yesterday. DBAY picking up some more perhaps. Let's hope so!
Re: Interesting Looking less boring. I wonder how a move to AIM would affect Dbay's interest/intentions - if at all. Still providing a good divi, so don't want to lose it at this sp - even plus 30%.
Re: Moving to AIM? The problem is that around 51% of the stock is held by funds, and they may have restrictions on holding AIM securities. Expect to see a notable fall in the price if this goes ahead. This may present a buying opportunity.
Moving to AIM? I've not had too many shares in AIM, but my experience is the lack of transparency in AIM shares. If I'm correct, they are not required to report on performance as frequently. However I can understand this would be good for cost saving (Audits and the like)
Re: Interesting Almost spot on Mongrets. RNS states that they have topped 17%. Something may be afoot!
Interesting Looks like 5% of the shares changed hands late on yesterday. Could this be DBAY increasing their stake from 11% to 16% !?!
info Paul ScottHarvey Nash (LON:HVN)Share price: 61.4p (-1%)No. shares: 73.5mMarket cap: £45mPre-Close Trading UpdateThis lowly-rated recruiter seems to be doing ok, mostly because of currency movements:58b9574f0b3b5HVN_20170303.PNGThose constant-currency movements are less than inspiring, however, and are more important to me than the actual numbers. They tell a more accurate story about the performance of each segment that was under the control of the company. However, today's statement from the company doesn't take any responsibility for the weakness seen, blaming the UK result on Brexit uncertainty and blaming the Rest of World result on "challenging market conditions" in Hong Kong.Perhaps it's unrealistic to expect better explanations than this, but I much prefer when companies tell us that they made some mistakes or that they were beaten by superior competition, and that's why the results aren't very good.Anyway, even with this lacklustre trading update, Harvey Nash shares are screaming value at the current level. I'm not surprised to see that the StockRank Value Rank is 99. The trailing PE ratio is 6.8x and that ignores the value of the healthy cash balance. So if it can sail through the next year or two in a reasonable way, it's priced for a fantastic shareholder return, even if we assume the business is less than high-grade.
Re: pre-tax profit(1) for the year ended... Ah, so average debt is the same as term debt. I live and learn.Still a boring stand still company, but i guess that my money's better off sitting here than in the bank.
