HSV Homeserve, Fantastic Results.......... HSV homeserve............OutlookAll our businesses are performing well and have good prospects. Looking ahead, we expect further strong growth in FY18, principally driven by our rapidly-expanding business in North America. This reflects the increase in customer numbers, combined with the benefit of the USP acquisition, which we expect to deliver around $15m EBITDA this coming year.We are excited about the future for all of our businesses. We have a strong platform for growth over the years ahead and our strategic focus on home assistance, repairs and improvements will enable us to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.
Customer retention I would question that Homeserve already provides "enhanced disclosures to customers with regards to pricing".The renewal documents Recently received for my plumbing/heating policy made no mention of last years premium and invited renewal at approx. 100% increase!!As has happened for a past number of years I objected and with little effort agreed renewal at an 8% increase!!.I can`t image many policy holders renew on the invited premum.

Customer Retentions Customer retentions are in decline. This is because existing loyal customers are being ripped off to fund the discounts being offered to new customers.
Any idea why SP up 3.5% today? Pleasant news but can't see what has caused it
Re: Special dividend I checked with Homeserve Investor Relations and Stockopedia is plain wrong: the AGM is today (17 July), not 2 July, and today is the ex-div day too if you want to receive the special dividend. The share consolidation comes into force at 8am on Monday 20 July, so it will be interesting to see the effect of this combined with the special dividend on the share price. The shares are being consolidated so that 14 shares becomes 13 on Monday, so if you own 1000 shares in HSV today, you will have 928 on Monday.Apologies if I misled anyone in my post dated 1 July.
Re: Special dividend I am reading the statement ([link] re the special dividend and it appears you have until the end of today to be on the share register to get the 30p special dividend. This contradicts below that the 16th is the the ex dividend date but agrees with [link] anyone confirm? Is it worth buying the shares today for this dividend as the rise in share price appears to of already occurred since the announcement of t

Share Consolidation Share consolidationIt is proposed that the payment of the special dividend be accompanied by a consolidation of the Company's ordinary issued share capital. The consolidation will replace every 14 existing ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each with 13 new ordinary shares of 2 9/13 pence each. Fractional entitlements arising from the share consolidation will be aggregated and sold in the market as soon as practicable on behalf of the relevant shareholders. The net proceeds of the sale, after the deduction of expenses of the sale, are expected to be paid in due proportion to the relevant shareholders on 24 July 2015, except that individual amounts of £3 or less will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care, the Company's charity partner. Can you please show me how to calculate this share consolidation?
NEW ARTICLE: Stockwatch: Insider buying underlines US potential and special divi "Does insider buying in emergency home repairs business LSE:HSV:Homeserve flag value?
