Re: NEW ARTICLE: HSS crashes 38% on prof... this is a good entry point now. and a move back to £1 is reasonable short term. with the store roll outs going to plan and a lot of bad news out of the way and writeoffs done we shpuld now move forward

NEW ARTICLE: HSS crashes 38% on profits warning "Almost £76 million was wiped off of LSE:HSS:HSS Hire's market value on Wednesday, after the tool rental firm warned that its full-year earnings will miss expectations due to a slower and erratic recovery in the repair, maintenance and improvement ..."[link]

Re: bounce tomorrow I doubt it very much-the company is in a weak position and issuing cautionary noises only a few months into its life as a publicly quoted company.I hope I'm proved wrong.

Re: NEW ARTICLE: HSS Hire turns lower af... Unfortunately no, all is far from ok. Massive store & capex expansion into weakness is a major mistake. I forsee no profit & a high risk they go insolvent in the coming year. They don't even look to be cashflow viable. I suspect b4 too long in order to survive they would have to cancel the dy & halt the store rollout & comprehensively cease buying new equipment. This would destroy the franchise. One could hope for a trade buyer, but I suspect no one is foolish enough to be interested & would know they could far more cheaply cherrypick the assets from the knackers yard / receiver. How the previous backers got away with a float, let alone at £2, is beyond me. It's the old joke: the advisor client relationship is one where the advisor provides the experience & the client the money; at the end the advisor leaves with the money & the client is left with the experience. If I had any of these, which I don't, I'd bail out pdq. Not shorting etc, just saying this looks like disaster written all over. Sorry.

NEW ARTICLE: HSS Hire Group PLC Falls 35% Today… Is It A Bargain Right Now? "Interim results for tool and equipment hire group HSS Hire (LSE:HSS) pushed down its stock 35% today. At the end of June, when its pre-close trading update was released, I warned you: "A few elements suggest you would do well to wait a bit ..."[link]

Re: NEW ARTICLE: HSS Hire turns lower af... They are making a trading loss but expanding their loss-making empire; not a good brew. I am not buying any more. They probably shouldn't even be paying the paltry dividend. My impression of tool hire is that it is not much more to buy the tool outright from Amazon in many cases. I made a mistake buying here at 132p; I let myself be swayed by broker recs!

Re: NEW ARTICLE: HSS Hire turns lower after warning I will be surprised if the SP doesn't turn even lower following this morning's RNS."However, as others have reported, trading continues to be unpredictable, and after a reasonable July, we have seen softer market conditions in August. This is obviously disappointing. As a result we are cautious on the outlook for the balance of the year and now expect full year earnings to be below current market expectations."Despite this warning the company continues to expand its branch network with the associated costs which have to be recouped out of profit at some stage, except that after all the ramifications as contained in the notes basic profit is flat and, after all the accounting tricks is non-existent. However I'm not an accountant and as it is almost certain there is one in the posters to this BB maybe they can reassure me that all is OK?
